I think she is great..... Here is a post from her FB wall this morning. Go on Em.... Kick some Taiwanise Arse!!!
This post will be long, but inspiring. If you believe life is an exciting journey read on...
I am definitely have having a blast in Taiwan playing in my second international event to date. Thank you to everyone for your wishes of good luck. I have been playing well, but will most likely not make it to the next round. However, I will walk away stronger.
I've been coming to a lot of realizations from this experience...
1.) I realize that I am at the beginning of my international career. I plan to hold no expectations on my performance or results for years to come. My goal is now to give it my all every rack and to be a sponge every moment. I will focus solely on improving.
2.) I realize that many of my opponents are seasoned world champions. Most of them have full time coaches that travel with them, their countries pay for their expenses and they play 8 hours a day. As a result of the state of pool in the US, I realize I have non of these advantages, but I've got a lot of heart and bravery and will give it my all. I accept that my goal of one day winning a world championship might never be realized, but I will work as hard as I can.
3.) I realize that the outcome of one event, one match, or one game is irrelevant. What truly matters is the journey that I am grateful to be on and the happiness that the competition gives me. What matters is that when I look back after decades of playing the game I love, that I am proud of what I have achieved and that my head was held high in the duration.
4.) I realize how grateful I am for my fans, friends and family that support me dearly and genuinely, as well as the haters. I am grateful for the haters that want to judge and criticize other players that are grinding through the process of experience, learning and seasoning because they don't have the guts to put themselves out there. I feel sorry for those that don't have the courage to fail time and time again in order to succeed. The critics be the ones who look back and regret and I will be the one who will lived life to the fullest. I realize my supporters and my critics ignite my fire to persevere and inspire me to never give up.
Live life fast, hard and free of regret! I'm loving every moment!!!
