rack 12 chen breaks.....did a very good cut on the 2....but didnt get good position on the 3....which made her have to make a difficult shot on the 4....but she makes it and gets good position on the 5....nothing's coming easy for chen...makes a difficult long shot on the 6....and misses the seven! leaving it hanging for kim who accepts the gift and runs away with it for the game and the match!

final score 9-3 kim

Thank you so much for the updates.

Jennifer is still waiting for her Layani cue. She told me she was having problem with the cue she is using now. She is a very sensitive player so if something does not feel right about her cue, she will feel very uncomfortable. I am glad to see her break working well for her and that she likes the X Breaker.

I sincerely wish she can get over her playing cue issue and play her best in her remaining matches.

I really appreciate the game by game update, you are awesome.:)

Thank you once again.

Richard

I have a lot of pictures of most of the Asian girls in my photo gallery: http://xtremebilliard.com/Gallery12/albums.php
I took those pictures during the Amway Cup.

I will post some pictures of some of the well known Asian girl players here for the fans:

The first one is Meng Meng Zhou from China. But she is not playing in this tournament.

I believe she plays with a Lucasi or some cue made by the same factory.

Here is the picture of an up and coming local player in Chinese Taipei now, Shu Han Chang. She is playing with an ash three quarter cue(like a snooker cue) made by her instructor.

And here is a picture of Shin Mei Liu, a big favor to win this tournament. She was playing with a Southwest with pink ivory points into ebony.

I am not sure if she is playing with the same cue this time.

Good luck with you and your "sexy fashion princess." In a recent interview I read, Ms. Zhou wants to live in Paris when she grows old, and she loves shopping in Japan.

By the way, here is a picture of three Japanese players, the one to the right (the reader's right) is Noriyo Hayashi, she used to play with a super fancy DPK but is now sponsored by a Japanese cue company (I think it is Mezz, I am not sure).

The one next to her is Akiko Kitayama, she is not playing in this tournament. She plays with an old Josswest and a Dan Dishaw. She is living in Taiwan now.

The lady on the back is Kiyoko Sone, and next to her is her boyfriend, who is also a professional pool player from Japan.

Ask and you shall receive.:)

Here is a picture of Otani Akio(right, with a finger touching her cheek), and Chihiro Kawahara(left, with a peace sign).

Otani Akio is sponsored by Adam and plays with an Adam. She is a very polite and petite Japanese girl but don't let her look fool you, she is definitely one of the top three female professional players in Japan right now.

NoStroke, another picture of Otani Akio for you.:)

Yes that is more like i remember her. She looked like a Japanese houswife or Librarian who didnt belong anywhere near a pool hall. Then she got out of line on every other shot but just didn't miss.

I think Tiffany took her lightly and then just got drilled!

Is there another Noriyo that plays pool from Japan? My daughter and I hung out with a player named Noriyo, but I don't remember her last name and that picture looks a little like her, but I am not sure. She had a boyfriend when she was here in Seattle. She gave my daughter a Japanese translator calculator and myself a gold 8 ball which I still have.

I also remember playing Kyoko a few times. I played her 8 ball where she hung the 8 in the pocket in front of 4 of my stripes and I was able to run all my stripes up table to win the game. But she beat me in the 9ball tournament. :(

That is her, she used to live in Vancouver with her husband. She won one or two Hunter Classic event as well while she was here.

Kyoko also used to live in Vancouver, and she played in a lot of tournaments including the Reno when she was here.

wow! great pics, richard. how come japan and taipei have so many awesome female pool players (and they all look great, btw!)? are pool halls there more gender-equal or female-friendly? how come the philippines only has two players in this tournament?
