You are in the wrong forum. With that said there is NO such circumstance as far as I'm aware. I know in some call-shot call-safety 10 ball games if you call the shot and miss(making a legal hit) your opponent has the option to give you back the shot.

If a player commits a foul in Black Ball the incoming player gets a free shot. If he misses the first shot he gets one more.

I wish there were a few rooms in the U.S with some Engish 8 ball tables. I enjoy watching the game. I think a good table mechanic could make a set of English 8 ball rails for a 7' Diamond, to convert it to an English 8 ball table. Johnnyt
