The gal at Simonis told me that English Green is lighter/brighter than regular Simonis Green. Do any of you posters have experience with English Green?

I am at the point where I need to tell my mechanic what color to order and therefore I need some quick info here. That's why I thought I would start a new thread.

What's wrong with the colors shown on Simonis' web site where you can see both side by side and see which you like?

BTW if you have issues deciding on the softness of toilet paper you will like, we will NOT help you with that.

Please, serious replies only, ok?

You cant really tell a whole lot by looking at the Simonis website. Those little patches aren't much good either. You need to see the cloth in person and see what it looks like on a table.

You may get a better view/idea of English green if you watch some of the many utube videos of pro snooker matches. Should give you a pretty good assessment of the color difference.

Aloha.

You need quick info to help you decide on the color, utube will give you an idea about the color. Watch part of a match of snooker and you can get an idea of what English green looks like on a table. When viewed in HD, the color difference is pretty apparent.

The Simonis color swatch will probably be your best bet. Nobody on these forums can see your table or lighting quality which both will have an effect on the final outcome. There is a recent link in the Main Forum here for Earl Strickland and Chinese 8 ball that is played on a bright green table, check that out, the table looks real nice.

Theres something wrong with you, OCD. It's amazing anyone keeps trying to help you. Making 10,000 posts asking about the same thing, over and over, sure doesnt endear you to the forum either.

Thank you, Eric! My sentiments exactly. I spent nearly 20 minutes trying to explain a flourescent setup which would solve all this guy's problems, and nary even a response, let alone a thank you.

What's he do? Goes to Depot and listens to a plumber. I personally hope he finds his F'n chartreuse . He totally deserves it.

The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it has even taken place.

How does a guy telling me he likes English Green answer my question about whether it is lighter or brighter?

Asking about the same thing? The first one was about the Chartreuse color. The 2nd post was about lights and wattage. The 3rd one was about English Green. Looks like three different topics to me.

10,000 posts? I see three now, where are the other 9,997?

And I have had those fluorescent lights over my Gold Crown IV in the past, when it was downstairs in my garage. Didn't help all that much.

My crystal ball shows many more posters rushing in to provide more advice that you will never take. Rock on, OCD.

you will NEVER get this cloth.

and let me tell you why....

if you were this wishy-washy with the CSR @ Simonis, then you became the Joke of the Day inhouse. EVERYone in their office now knows about your CHARTREUSE, CITRON, & ENGLISH GREEN fetish of 3 yrs. so the minute an order comes through for these unusual colors - your order will be flagged & they will call-back the mechanic who ordered it & fill him in on the risk he's taking in your chargeback of not being satisfied.

and you know what my CSRs & i do for pain-in-the-ass accounts that we don't need/want their business? B/O (back order). it's O-O-S (out of stock) with ETA of: NEVER. but we will string you along for months - just for payback.

I guarantee you didn't follow my recommendation for eight, four foot, T8's. Compare your room with mine pictured below. My only illumination is the two fixtures, save for the sunken fire egress window which is like your small window. Compare the light on the floor and walls also. This is getting to be fun. Sooner or later you'll see the forest for the trees. Sorry, didn't mean to use Forest, as that's another shade of green. C'mon man. Admit this is your solution. Two fixtures, some heavy chain, some eye bolts and S hooks and a dozen lamps will cost maybe $135, Seriously, can you not see this?????????? I researched for months and I'm laying it out for you on a silver platter. I shall be very interested in your kind response...

Bob,

Beautiful table and I agree, nice lighting. Could you tell me what exact color you used on your table?
