Ira really is one of my favorite people in the NYC pool/billiards community. As well, Carom Cafe has provided some of the most amazing tournaments AND tournament footage for quite some time now. Both Ira and Carom have really done a helluva job promoting 3C.

Thanks for sharing. HE is definitely one of the good AZBros, I a mpleased to hear the same is true in the real World.

Did you know:
-Semih was married to the Women's Billiard Champion of Turkey Aygen Berk Saygıner
-His parents died in a traffic accident when he was 14 years old. Saygıner then started playing billiards. He had a good performance in high school but left for depression over the loss of his mother and father. He then focused on billiards. A year later, he won his first Turkish title
 
Thanks for posting. I have that match on VHS from back in the day when I played a ton of 3 cushion. Spoke with Ira several times and got some video from a Sang Lee (no relation) exhibition that was in the NY area. Ira was great to talk to and a great promoter of 3C.

The match was long ago at Sang Lee's room on Roosevelt Ave. It was my first 'tv' match - very nervous especially with Jaspers in the booth. Much thanks to accu-stats.

Raymond Ceulemans, with Dick Jaspers, was at the BCA New Orleans show.
I kept shirking my booth duties to watch them...had a long conversation
with Robert Byrne as the icing on the cake.

I just might book off for this one.
