"Dragging a flame war out ad infinitum is something I'm all for"

"Whats really disturbing is that when somebody takes this crap so seriously,
whether its by way of a vehement disagreement, trash talk, name calling or whatever and then gets so out of control that they start making threatening psycho pm's thats when it and THEY are really out of hand and it has to cease immediately.

Quote by Drivermaker on thread titled I Don't get it?

"Besides if you want to see who would win lets just do it with baseball bats and see who can take out a knee or shoulder. How about that?"

This is EXACTLY what I said about when it's over, it's over for me. You're still harboring this crap and it's going to go on forever between us, isn't it? It's like you take a daily supply of Viagra just so you can have a hard on in case you're not getting one from your angst. When is this shit going to stop?

Let's go back to your "Quotes" "Dragging the flame war out" had to to with THAT particular thread and the youngster issue to show that he shouldn't be on there and that's how adults CAN drag it out. It's no place for a kid. On that particular thread I didn't care if it dragged out forever just to prove the point. You've now proven it to be correct because you're STILL dragging it out. NOBODY needs to see it, especially a kid.

The other post had nothing to do about my feelings, but what the real core issue was behind YOUR responses. You said that "You could kick my ass", Then you said that your son who was a 0 handicap, maybe it was 2 sons, "Could kick my ass" also. This was all about "KICKING ASS" YOU SAID IT, it came out of YOUR mouth.
I could care less about it, I figured since I was going to get my ass kicked by you and your entire family (maybe your wife and daughters could kick my ass too) that we should just do it quickly as more of a suggestion to YOU to see what you wanted to do. Me, I'd rather go drink a beer. So what DO you want to do...still kick my ass?

Has your ego been so bruised that you still need to pursue this? Christ, give it a break. This whole thread should be a no brainer, even for you. You own a pool room...do you have rules in that pool room or do you just let guys come in and do whatever they want? Do you allow them to bring in their own booze and drink in there? Do you have rules about sitting on the tables? Do you have rules about jump or masse shots? And most importantly, DO YOU HAVE AN AGE REQUIREMENT? Most pool rooms do, to cover themselves from inexperienced young kids that might damage cloth and cues due to shenanigans or lack of skill. Also to shield them from older players antics, swearing, betting, drinking, etc. as well as keep them from getting in the way of older players.

The age to get their drivers license is 16. It's 18 to vote. And it's 21 to drink hard liquor in most states. What is the age requirment to shoot pool in your place? If you say you don't have one, it doesn't even matter. Mike has set AZBilliards age at 13 as the minimum. That's it...it's his rules.
YOU and a few others are trying to set it at whatever YOU deem as right.

If you don't agree with 13, even you must have SOME moral standards. At what age should a kid NOT be allowed to be on a billiard forum. 11? 10? 9?
8? 7? Where do YOU draw the line? It's gotta be somewhere, I would hope.

Again, it doesn't matter...IT'S 13. I didn't set it and I don't even agree with it. I think it should be a couple of years HIGHER. But, those ARE the rules.

Now, will you give this a break already or do you want to let those flames burn out of control again? It's up to you.....

It seems u misunderstand

I did not say I would kick your ass(physically) it is in pool. Read it again.
One son could kick it in pool and maybe golf. Not physically. You read what u want. I did not start anything. You contradicted yourself and threatened violence not me. And you said dragging "a" flame war out. You did not specify. Besides what difference does it make?
If I have 7 kids and a pool room, do you think kids are allowed? duh. And there are a lot of rules the main one being 11p.m. curfew so they can get to school.
I never called you a name until you called me a loser. a hacker and an idiot.
(dolt or whatever) That is when I went off. I do not take a back seat to anybody. Sorry. Bring it on and get it straight. I knew you would not be able to handle getting caught with your foot in your mouth again.
se la ve . Out of here. No mas no mas no mas

The political pundits are going to be putting a spin on this election with so many twists and turns over the next month that it's going to start looking like the spin you're putting on this thread. You might want to think about politics in the future. You were never threatened with violence, but the "ass kicking" that you and everyone in your family was going to give me in "pool" and now "golf" sure sounded like the vitriolic (probably don't know that word either) "ass kicking" that you WOULD have liked to have given me in a real thrashing. Let's face it, you don't care about pool or golf, you'd just flat out like to "kick my ass". Well...dream on. If you want to know where my foot is, it's on your butt helping to push you out the door as you're "out of here".

No mas....I don't think so. You'll be back dragging this out again sooner or later. If it's not a continuation on this thread, you'll blind side me somewhere down the road when I least expect it. Your kind ALWAYS does.

Here's the bet...you'll post something to me before I ever post to you. Let's see what happens starting from NOW. (the end of this post)

Looks like Bush won the presidency. The votes are in.
FYI, the votes are in on that thread. The number of guys that feel a 12 year old should devote more time to his education or being elsewhere instead of playing pool or hanging out on this forum, is about DOUBLE the number that don't. You can do a recount, you can whine and cry about it like the politicians are going to do, you can wave your fist in the air, but that's the consensus...live with it. Have a nice day and I sincerely hope that all of your tables are booked solid in table time.

I dont see where a 12 year old should not play pool. You are going to have alot more time at 12 to take part in past times then at 16 in high school, or at 22 in university, or at 25 in a job trying to get ahead. I dont know too many 12 year olds that are putting in their 8 hours at school only to come home and put in another 4 hours at home, eat, wash up, hit the sack, and do it again the next day. Somehow I just dont see middle school being that demanding and any kid that cannot spend 4-6 hours a day doing their own thing and still do well in school is clueless, or a complete geek who will spend their life with their nose in a book instead of experiancing life. Its all about balance, and while school is important so is recreation. I dont see BankNFool hanging out on this board 24/7 so I dont see where people had to get all up in arms about his presence. He is not the proper age of the board? Well he has a leg up on Gremlin for maturity so he is OK by me there.

As has been said, If Archer, Pagualyan, Efren, or any other top pro player had the attitude of not playing pool till later in life they would never have gotten anywhere. I would say a life making 50K a year playing pool would be alot more rewarding then making 200K a year as a accountant. If a person has the drive and talent to succeed in pool then I am all for them giving it a go. For sure have a solid plan B to fall back on, but that plan B is not going to take up all your waking hours at 12 years old. There is time for both pool and school so do both BNF and work hard at both.

If this thread ends right here, I'm satisfied with the amount of replies. I think I got my point across w/o offending anyone. Yet! Peace to all.

But the thread didn't end, instead a couple of folks started bickering ... makes you shake your head ... Hang in there Rude Dog.

Well said Dog, but how bad a beating would I have to take to qualify for the free air fare? :D

Well, a case of Bud Light would probably get ya outta the beating but only if you help me drink it!

I live right here in Phoenix and know Mike Howerton personally. I surely do not visit his forums to cause trouble. If it comes my way though, I will speak my mind. Probably not the best attribute but it has happened. I'll take your advise Rude Dog and just let it go. I was going to anyway but since you brought it up it's a done deal. Besides it doesn't take long to know who causes problems. Getting in a flame war with any such individual is just a complete waist of time.
