Junior players to compete annually in Europe versus USA competition

The European Pocket Billiard Federation and the Billiard Congress of America, the governing bodies of pool in their respective regions and two of the founding members of the World Pool-Billiard Association, today announced a joint venture in the promotion of junior pool. Beginning in 2015, a Mosconi Cup style event for junior players will be held.

Two teams consisting of four boys and two girls will represent Europe and America and do battle from July 1 - 4, 2015 on European soil in Rankweil, Austria in the inaugural staging of the Atlantic Challenge Cup between Europe and America.

Outstanding news.
And a long time coming...

I personally want to thank Mike , skip, sam, Rob and of course everyone else who has worked hard to make this happen. Bravo.

EDIT.. the read more link explained my questoins, looks like the BEF is along with this as well. Can't wait to see how things turn out. Maybe give my son another push to play better. He had the kid that won last years Nationals down 3-0 in a race to 7 and let him back in the set and ended up losing. I can teach him how to play but not how to win.

Nice, how will this work with the BEF and the junior nationals and the junior worlds? Issue with pro pool is that there are 20 frangmaneted associations and promotors all doing their own thing. Now there is the BEF with their nationals and sactioned state junior championship and now this.

Funny thing is that the BEF Jr Nationals is held alongside the BCA tradeshow last year and will be this year, but I don't see the BEF mentioned in this.
