I was wondering if anyone could give me a basic step by step idea of how to do a epoxy finish. I think I have a pretty good idea but would love some other input by people who have had experience with it first hand. Thanks.

A picture is worth a 1,000 words. I am not sure what a video is worth though. You may want to concider getting either one of Chris Hightower's or Joe's at Cue Componants videos. Both have alot of information and both sell the correct epoxy to use.

after sealing the cue with some thing like two part epoxy, sand to desired finish. then, using something like hightowers cue cote, mix as instructed.
let the cue cote to set a few min to allow the air bubbles to surface [ or breath on the mixture ].
with the cue in the lathe spin on slowest speed. pour the finish on the cue and with a rubber glove smooth as best as you can. put it on thick. then hang on end, allow to dry.
you might want to get chris hightowers video, because it has a lot more detailed information. its money well spent.
