Epoxy shrinkage

I just put a pin in a cue last night. Same way I always do lock at the bottom glue releif on the barrel. West system I come in this morning and the glue releif has a small air hole. Does epoxy shrink? I know the wood sucks in a little bit but I have never had this happen before. The last couple days I have had some weird stuff happening. Must be a full moon...

Hi John,
No, epoxy does not shrink. What you have is excess air that escaped before the epoxy solidified. No biggie.

you can also use any good polyurthene glue i know a few top cuemakers that use it this glue sucks into the 2 surfaces many feel its the best way to assemble a new cue i read on here the other day gorilla glue now has a 2 hour glue whatever you use its always best to let set overnight or a few days if you have the time also with this type glue there is some waterproof features not that you plan on being in the water but anything that helps with mositure is a plus
