Another interesting find! A Willie Mosconi scrimshaw cue by Ernie Martinez of Colorado. Anyone know anything about it? Not for sale at this time.
Enjoy!

It's been verified that Ernie did make this while at Showcase Billiards. It was made in the early 90's for a certain buyer.

Um, didn't the high run happen in Springfield, Ohio???
Someone get that re-engraved pronto!
What a terrible oversight.
Yes and no...
I did some research and it appears quite a few resources show Springfield, IL instead of OH.
Example, here is an article about Willie's passing and it said it was done in Ohio, but later added a correction:
"An obituary on Sept. 18 about Willie Mosconi, the great pocket billiards player, misidentified the state in which he made a record run of 526 balls in exhibition play in 1954. It was Springfield, Ohio, not Springfield, Ill."
My point, the mis-information is out there. Oh wells. ;-)

Based on the bumper it may be an Ernie made cue while working at Showcase. Is there a signature or markings? Also if you remove the joint protector that may tell the story, Ernie used a specific pin while there.
Nice cue and looks like a great find.
Yes, and it is immortalized for all to see on this cue
So more collectable right? ;-)
