ESPN Classic cops out!!!

ESPN Classic has copped out recently with showing Billiard matches at
10 am (CDT) Monday through Saturday. They have replaced it with
Strongman contests in the time slot normally for billiards.

The only reason I signed up for ESPN Classic was for the billiard matches.

Voice a complaint like I did by going here:

It simply amazes me sometimes by what type of programs they show that will draw a viewing audience (dumb reality shows, dumb contests, stupid s***).
 
i know huh, i have been watching the Classics for even now and the last past two days Strong man. Oh Well i got tired of watching the same thing over and over anyways, got'em on tape though. Thank god for the IPT Northern Open event on VS. though.

Where as the strongman comps are interesting, I can garuntee you there are more pool players out there at home during the day or tivoing the billiards matches then there are strongmen.

Any chance us pool players can get those billiards matches back?

I just sent them a note begging for cheerleading or darts to fill the time slot.
 
I responded as well.
Appreciate the heads up on this and now very disappointed that I will not be able to catch some classical moments in pool.

I am very unhappy about your choice to end programming of Classic Pool. I wonder who decided to substitute reruns of strongman competitions for pool. Frankly, I know of no dedicate strongman fans, though I do know of a great many pool/billiards fans who watched your Classic Pool programming regularly. Do you have any idea how many avid pool players there are in this country, how many committed league players in BCA and APA leagues? Does anyone at ESPN and ESPN Classics actually think?

yuou should have put in there that you have never seen an amatuer weekly strongman leagues. :D I sure havnt :D
 
In Denver, Comcast used to show about 42 pool-related programs in a two-week span. As of today, that count is now down to 16 billiards programs in 2 weeks.

Not only has ESPN Classic billiards programming been cut back, but also ESPN/ESPN2 programming has been cut back. OLN/Versus billiards programming appears to have been cut back too.

This makes my decision not to renew my cable tv upgrade an easy one. :mad:

I will not be renewing my ESPN upgraded package due to you not showing Classic Billiards anymore. Who the hell wants to watch big guys with muscles carrying around rocks ! Get your heads out of the ground, wanted to say your ass but was being polite. Very dissatisfied customer who will not renew my ESPN upgraded service.
 
By the way ...

Do they test those overgrown oafs for steroids before they compete?
It would be more fun to watch strongmen compete on the logger's course, and the logger's on the strongman course ...

Gee, I bet the strongmen have 400 followers across the world, while Pool only has about 80 million worldwide. Someone's calculator must have broke ... lol
 
Heres what i wrote to them,we need to get more people to complain.

"I see that it is no longer on,I looked forward to it daily at 11am eastern time and its gone replaced by big meat heads caring rocks.I love pool as do many others but this just shows ESPN is not your total sports network.Do you realize how much skill this sport requires?This is one of the oldest sports in the country and deserves more respect.I see that bowling is still there,i just dont get this.I think perhaps the ratings are down because ESPN airs repeats,is there a lack of new footage?"
