After watching Caudron hit a perfect shot, time after time after time, I went to the pool hall and tried to just play straight rail.

I suck.

Caudron plays so good its almost hard to comprehend. Gathers balls like its absolutely nothing. Textbook drives that ended up perfect and he takes 2 seconds to decide and shoot.

Time after time...

Here's a link to the final ranking. Caudron averaged 131 billiards per inning. ...
He must be a little off his feed. I have the Kozoom video in which he runs 300 and out in both the semi-finals and the finals of the World 47/2. As Bud mentioned, it's scary how quickly he shoots. In so many shots, I wonder if he ever encounters bad contacts (cling/skid).

In one of his matches Sunday he was in complete control doing the standard balkline nurse. He was driving the red one cushion to come back on the two whites using transferred side on the red to ensure the correct return angle. At one point the red came back at an unexpected angle and almost ruined his run. He had to scramble for a few points to get back into the nurse. I would guess bad contact.

There are a limited number of Caudron videos on youtube, but Xavier Gretillat who played well in the event has a number of excellent small game videos you might want to check out.

I received Xavier Gretillat's book a few weeks ago. I highly recommend his book. If you have Daly's billiard book and his they sort of complement each other. Daly's book does not cover gather shots but Xavier's book does in detail. When you get his book he also gives you the video files that go along with the lessons in the book. It is true these videos are on youtube but the youtube versions are dinky and small compared to the original video files he sends you with the CD.

I have bought three Kozoom DVDs and a few payed downloadable videos. I recommend the Kozoom DVDS, but shipping cost is a bit expensive. The first time I purchased a Kozoom DVD, called "Master of billiards" featuring Caudron, the cost of the DVD plus shipping was over a hundred USD. I purchased direct from Kozoom the first two times. The third time I bought a Kozoom DVD was recently from Laurent Guenet's billiard store site (also in France) and shipping was a whole lot cheaper, Kozoom was charging me 20 Euros to ship a DvD:(.

While I am talking about Kozoom they have two really great Billiard videos that you have to pay ( not much ) and you can download directly from the Kozoom website. In France they call downloads "Telechargments". One of the programs is on Jean Marty a famous billard player in France. Most of the Jean Marty program is Jean demonstrating two types of Balkline: 47/2 and 71/2. The other billiard program is the Finale of the 2005 French National Cadet Parte libre (straight rail) which was held in Club Andernos in France. One of the players is a young Pierre Soumange, a really good Billard player from France.

Kozoom also has a lot of good Three Cushion matches. Commentary is in French but a lot of what they are saying is the same stuff they would say in English ex: Short, long, long, Bravo.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks very much for your response, Bob and Dean. I though Bob was referring to the 2009 47/2 DVD from Kozoom when he mentioned seeing Caudron running 300 in the semi.

Dean,

I've bought some DVDs from Kozoom too, and also trying to buy those Divx that you mentioned, the problem is I can't register since they don't have America or USA on the country list for me to choose from. Could you please comment on the quality of downloads? Thanks.

They do have the option for America but they call it: "Estats-Unis" (Estados Unidos)= USA

They have a 2009 47/2 DVD?
