Euro Tour Italy

Congratulations on making the last 32 Craig, at an event like this that is a pretty big accomplishment, even for a player such as yourself. Just as impressive is your win over Cohen, from what I've seen of him he is a very strong player and he has the credentials to back that up. Unfortunately, at the time of this post they haven't posted the draw for the last 32, so I'll just wrap up by wishing you the best of luck and will be scoreboard watching for results!

Great tournament, TheOne! :) Keep it going!

I don't get how y'all are reading this Euro Tour website about the tournament. It's a menagerie of links with charts, codes, and colors. I navigated around a bit, but I couldn't find out, for example, how Fabio Petroni is doing in the tournament. Being that he's Italian, I figured he'd be there, and I'm curious. He's been hitting 'em pretty sporty last few outings here in the States. :D

I see that Thomas Engert has NEVER missed a tournament on the Euro Tour. They should give out a bonus to players who don't miss any event on a tour, IMHO, kind of like a Cal Ripken, Jr., Award or something. :p

Marcus Chamat of Sweden doesn't look too shabby in the rankings either! ;)

And what in the world is a "walk-over"? A buy or a forfeit? :o

Hi Jam,
The results are here:
http://www.epbf.com/sportsite/2006/Eurotour/Italy/Italy.htm
Select Group B to see Craig's results.

Fabio went through without a loss in Group G.

A walkover is when the opponent forfeits. [Edit}--Seems they're using the term to indicate byes as well, but typically it is used to indicate when an opponent forfeits.

A "Walk-over" = Buy. A "Dis"(Disqualify) = Forfeit.

In Group B, Hohmann had a walk-over/buy and then Dis/Forfeit when he was about to play our very own "The One".

Craig has the worst possible draw for tomorrow.
He's playing Sandor Tot.

You wasnt wrong, just got pumped 9-3 lol!

I won the lag but missed a tough shot in first, he then missed an easy shot but hooked me. I hooked him back and he slopped the 9  I think I missed another early on and he got on a roll. He slopped another 9 (kicked in from the break) later on which hurt. I had a few bad rolls but overall he played much better.

Oh well off to Venice now! :D

Sander Tot has some great finishes in recent times on the Euro-Tour, if it's any consolation Craig, your countryman Majid went on to victory. Enjoy Venice my friend!
