This tournament just finished in France. All the top players (except Sayginer) were there. Jaspers was first with a grand average of 2.169. In the final against Blomdahl, Jaspers won 3-0 in a total of 8 innings for an average of 5.625. Blomdahl had 18 billiards in 6 innings (a 3.0 average) and got creamed. In one stretch Jaspers made: 13 and out, 15 and out, 6 off the break. That's 34 billiards without a miss.

All the results are available at http://www.eurobillard.org/en/. (Click on "Calendar & Tournament Info" and scroll down to June.)

Thanks to David Levine and Darrell Martineau for forwarding this information.

That's it, I quit. Does that count as a record run? Wasn't the old record Semih and someone else at 31 or so? Or does it not count because it's across multiple matches?

Holy freakin crap!

Jaspers ran a 22 and and a 20 on the same day in a tournement awhile ago. He seems to be doing his best to join Raymond and Torbjorn as the greatest ever.

Jaspers was already a two times UMB champion and a very top player, but he seems to have turned into a monster since AGIPI.His statistics against Blomdahl in the metioned match are probably records.Blomdahl's 3.00 average loss may also be a negative record.

I expect both Jaspers and Blomdahl to be the first player to exceed 2.00 average per year and my vote goes to Jaspers.

By the way, 34 consecutive points is a record. As far as I know, Hugo Pation made 31 in a practice match. The same must be valid for Saygıner's 31.Blomdahl claıms to have made 35-36 in practice.

Ceulemans's 28 was the previous tournament record,I think.

Having two break shots confuses the record but I've never heard of more than 34 in a row.

Komori ran 28 and out in a league match so he could rush off and meet his wife at the hospital when she was giving birth.

Ceuelemens has run more than 30 in practice.
