Two more spots have opened up. I hope it isn't mine and Mike's, lol. This just came from Deno:

IPT Players,

Two more openings now available!

Two players originally selected to play in the IPT have not sent in their
signed contract. They have therefore forfeited their membership into the
IPT. This means that there are two more openings! Because of the
incredible interest from European players, we are going to hold this a fifth
and final qualifier in Europe. We need your help. Can you recommend a
billiard center that would be appropriate for us to hold this qualifier? We
need to organize and schedule this right away. Please have a center that
you feel would be appropriate contact me via email expressing their interest
and desire to hold a qualifier. The center must have 9' tables. This is
exciting news and many of the European IPT Players can now earn some great
money by referring players to enter the qualifier.

Best regards,

Try HOB Weert(sp?) where Neils hangs. Somebody from there posts here(forgot who)EDIT-oh yeah its HOB Weert he owns the place.
Or maybe the place in Austria they had the WPA's. Or Solartje (Bruno(Solly)) might have some idea about a place in Belgium, he'd like to see pro caliber comp in his country. Or Jenn seems to have contacts at Rielly's(sp?) in Britan.

very good propositions tbeaux.

yup, the main one that comes to mind is how weert. Why? they are used to host very big events. (some with very good international players) even ronnie O sulivan will play there in a week.

about Rilleys, im not sure. I think england is more of a snooker country. i think it would be more usefull to hold it in a country where pool needs some kicking in the **** to get off. Im thinking of germany, many great players there, but not sure what are the good places there, Belgium..

and ofcourse, my first choice would be

BELGIUM

i just played a ranking event in Gent this weekend in a place i never played, and i LOVED IT. its also one of the biggest clubs in belgium. over 20 tables (i remember i played on table 22) so i think its important that there are enough tables. MANY people will try to qualify, even me just for the experience, and ull need alot of tables so the tourny wont last 3weeks. Also Q action comes to mind. I remember they hosted alot of international snooker events there, and ive heared they have changed it into a poolhall. anyway, i think its maybe best to let the BPBF descide what the best place would be. (place wice, table quality, # of tables, 9", amount of seating places, reputation, etc)

if u are considering belgium, feel free to pm me, i am in contact with most of the big clubowners, and i can redirect u to any of them, and i can do it quicly.
U can ask tbeaux, im always ready to help with anything that can enhance pool in my country, and i thik a pit qualy would be the greatest thing ever for out country.

greats, solly

(linda, ill forward your post to the big clubowners, and BPBF guys ASAP. thx again for the very interesting post. got to love u :D )

That would be great! I'm not sure they really specified what country, so go for it! Good luck. :)

I'd like to applaud the IPT for its decision to hold a qualifier in Europe, especially in view of the difficult logistics.

American-based pool tours have long embraced all the pool players of the world, and it's nice to see the IPT carrying on this great tradition.

Tap, tap, tap for the IPT.

double that :) i just pmed ALL the people i know who could organise it. MAn im so exited, almost as much as when i rescieved my first playingcue.
linda ur a godess :p will u mary me? :p (then ill have 50% of a IPT tour, as close as ill ever get :D)

(small ps, i think engert will have a good revenge on this quali. ah well, ill beat him 9-0 just like i do every time (in my dreams)) :D

ps; sorry for the typing errors in previous post :) i got a bit excited :D

Patrick's Canadian Tavern

Patricks Canadian Tavern in Rankweil, Austria I would highly recommend! It's probably the finest billiard local in Europe. Home of the 2004 Women's World Championships and a regular Eurotour Stop. It has plenty of sitting room, 20 tables, 2 6x12 snooker tables, 2 different bars.A big room for the finals which can accommodate TV and a large crowd It may not be the biggest billiard local with the most tables but it is absolutely the players favorite stop! Nothing against Weert but it's not Patrick's!!!!!

Please talk to the owners if you can and have them talk to Deno. Thank you!

Have you sent this to the current IPT members? I believe Sarah Ellerby might know a spot. And then Harry, the Gremlin, might know a couple places but he got banned from here.

Your place sounds very nice (I checked out websites). Upstairs and buffet ... I think you need to get your information to Deno Andrews, Tour Director for the IPt. Go to
http://www.internationalpooltour.com
and send an email to Deno with all of your information, plus
dates you would have available. Not a bad location for lots
of players there either. Good luck.

Rotterdam Open

Lets hope there's no conflict with the Rotterdam Open.
