I have both, I use the OB!! I just prefer the way it feels. As far as deflection, technically if you believe all the data posted around the predator Z shaft has the least.

Every cue has deflection, some more than others. There is more to consider than deflection alone. Anytime you change a cue, or even a tip, you will need to adjust a bit how you aim and stroke.

I find that the difference between where you have to aim to pocket a ball is extremely minimal between the 314-2 and OB1. I can switch back and forth and pocket balls reliably without hardly any adjustment in my aim. The difference is in the hit and overall feel that the OB1 has. I really think that the OB has all the benefits of a low deflection shaft, but still feels more like a traditional shaft. It has a foam core to dampen the vibrations of the impact and gives a nice solid feel, even though the overall hit is soft.

I do think the predators are also a very good shaft, and deliver what they promise. I don't think you would be disapointed with either, altough I definately recommend the OB1 highly.

I'm playing more with my OB-1 now than my other shafts. However, it doesn't feel anything like a traditional shaft, IMHO.

Exactly....... I play with an OB-1 and now find that any other type of type of cue has such a different hit, because of the dampening core of the OB-1, that they feel weird.

It did take me about a month of playing with the OB-1 before I was fully comfortable with the way it feels and reacts.

I think the Z shafts and the OB-1 have the same properties except that the OB-1 has the soft "thud" instead of "click" when you hit the ball.

I've owned 314, 314-2, and OB1. I shot with the original 314 for 10 years, then bought a OB1 that I shot with for around 6 months, and now have a 314-2. They are ALL good shafts. It's really personal preference on what you like. OB1 was too soft feeling for my taste, never liked the hit, and never figured out the english exactly, always too much or to little. Went to the 314-2, like the hit better than the old 314, and I know exactly what it's going to do on shots, but I have 10 years of shooting with one as well. Others that tried the OB1 when I had it absolutly loved it. IMO, if you don't have experience with either one, if you buy either one and put the time in to get used to it, you'll be happy.

yep it is vibrates :) Thanks man for clearing that up and telling me the word. Now i know it and wont forget it ;) I remember back in the old days when they been saying that meucci shafts has a very high vibrates which isn't good. now they saying the same about OB-1 here in my country which is annoying, I want to brove to them that they are wrong.

so anybody know why the shaft OB1 vibrates alot after alot of english, unlike 314. and is it good thing or bad thing?

I loved the OB1 at first but in the past few weeks the vibration has definitely been bothering me. An off center hit makes the thing twang like a tuning fork. It's starting to feel flimsy to me. I know on diekman's website he talks about a good pool cue having a lot of "quiver", but it's too much for me on the OB1. I had a 3142 before and don't remember it being nearly as shaky.
