I used to use a 12mm now I am 12.5mm, both with a long pro shaft taper.

I'm playing with a 12.75mm Tiger x ultra shaft and thinking of turning it down to 12.5mm hopefully it's the right choice .

I remember when selling a cue with less than a 13mm shaft you'd get be told it wasn't worth much without a 'full' shaft.
I have a 14mm showcase true hit with an ivory ferule and an original Moori medium on it. it hit's Soooo nice but it feels like a broom handle.
I was experimenting with different size shafts back when I had it made. It turns out I like 12.5 - 12.75 but I can play wit about any size if that's whats available at the time.

I started with an 11.8 --> 12.4 -->12.9. I sold the 11.8 and kept the others, I like them both and don't have a favorite per say.

Anything from 12.6-13mm is fine for me

Have always played 13mm shafts for decades and about a dozen years, started having my cues built with a 13mm and 12.75mm shafts. 2 of my cues have 3 shafts (12.75, 12.85 and 13mm). I just didn’t want to have 2 shafts the same size.
