Jeez......My Focus Has Been On The Ivory Ban
Sitting here stateside and paying attention to what's happening on a day to day basis, well, the big economic picture loses focus. This is not a good time to be a currency trader, that's for sure. I'm doing my level best to secure such a cue overseas right now but that darn ivory ban is interfering with its delivery.....still working on a solution.
I haven't given up and keep in mind this is the same guy that spent 18 months searching everywhere, and especially on the Forum, looking for Cortland Linen #12 and I finally was successful two weeks ago......the wrap is in the hands od my cue-maker. But that's a different scenario since invory involves laws and regulations which I have little control over. I just keep rooting for a modification or a loophole that allows bringing the cue to me from overseas. So my focus has been on the ivory ban instead of the value of the US dollar conversion rate......Wow, that's an amazing change in the conversion rate which has to be because of the poor economic conditions overseas, like with Greece's economy.
Please also don't write that my posts are self-incriminating and setting myself up for a possible conviction by buying this cue overseas. There many methods to consummate any sale here in the USA.....that's per US Fish & Wildlife......and the focus is on illegal importation of ivory.....if the cue can reach our shores successfully passing thru US Customs, then the cue can be purchased here in the USA. ......the challenge for the buyer is legal passage and successful entry of the cue in the USA.....the seller is confronted with the same challenge plus there's now a precarious currency conversion for the seller to cope with........sure sounds like tough times for international cues sales for the foreseeable future.
