So excited to see the worlds best compete next month! I can finally get over to the states and leave with a smile. I expect some awesome matches with the field they have for it. Any new or up and coming players you think might give the veterans a run?

I am hoping Hohmann brings his best game.When he is on, he is automatic. Saw him run 10 racks in 10 minutes, it was amazing.

Anyone know if Efren is coming?
 
Don't know which players make up the field, but I am super excited as well. I booked my room the day I got the e-mail announcement. I love Straight Pool and am thrilled to have achance to go and watch the best in the world compete. I am especially interested in watching Hohman, Engert, Archer and Hopkins...but everybody should be incredible.

This will be the most exciting straight pool tournament of our generation.

the round robin format for the first half of the tournament (old school style) will ensure that every player plays atleast 7 matches. After half the field is eliminated, the remaining 32 will advance to a conventional double elimination bracketed tournament.

It will be held May 31st through June 4th @ a Hilton Hotle in East Brunswick New Jersey. Buy your tickets early and get ready to see the best in the world compete for the coveted title of "World Champion".

Wow...

What a great format! There is going to be battle after battle, with me finishing on top. Oh wait, I am just a spectator...lol

I was checkin out the Hilton hotel website... looks great, has anyone been to an event like this there before?
