Ok,lest anyone think that I am shamelessly using the main forum to promote my own ends,I will tell you a story
Many of you guys know that Jack Potter of Libra cue fame and I went to the same high school
and have been friends since he was hustling pool for his lunch money way back in the 8th grade.
I have told you many of his exploits on the green felt and his pool hustling buddies Alfie Taylor and Billy Stroud at the cotton bowling palace
Jack founded LIBRA CUES,and Billy was "JOSS WEST",both were great pool players as well,why some people get all the ability and some don't is a mystery
Not only that but both had a feel for business both on and off the table
For years Jack has received my cues for me in the mail and tried them out to
be sure I would be happy
In y view I thought it was a gimmick to play with free cues,and of course it was.
But it kept us in touch and when I finally got my cues back they were better than new,Jack makes shafts slick and sweet
Jack took one of my designs I made for Craig Petersen and made a libra like it.
It was his favorite cue,he thought it was beautiful,it was beautiful
When I told Jack I was having Schon make me this design with a steel joint.
he said"Oh,boy,i love Schon Cues and i want one"
Nothing new about that",I replied
"oh yeah,this time I am buying it" "the check is in the mail"
I asked" why,since he always got to play with them for free''
This time I already know it is my favorite cue and I don't want
you selling it out from under me
i started to ask if he thought I would do that,but I was afraid he would laugh at me
