Very Nice Carmeli. I shoot one and it plays top-notch. His cues shoot better than any others I have shot with, thats why I shoot with one. ;) It is priced well also, good luck with your sale.

This African ebony wood is mostly black with occasional grey streaks, fine texture and a straight to wavy grain.

The wood turns well, but a little hard on tools due to its density. Takes a very high finish. It is too hard to use nails or screws without first pre-boring. The dust can be irritant. Odor and taste are not distinct.

-- All wood is air dried (10 years),no sap wood, waxed ends, dimensions can vary slightly, although we do try and be as accurate as possible, can be minor variations in sizes between one end and the other --

Snakewood is an incredibly beautiful wood which originates mostly in Suriname, South America. The specific gravity is around 1.2, making it one of the worlds hardest woods. The part sold as snakewood is really the heartwood of the larger tree. This wood is usually felled with axes and carried on the backs of hard working natives over streams and through snake infested jungle areas. Each tree felled is monitored, and the government has developed a strict permit process to control harvesting. Much of the wood has inferior or no figure, but the small amount that has attractive figure is exported.
