Thats for the feedback as I am not familiar with these at all. Was told by the former owner that it was a Fellini with a slight chance that it was a Tad, as he could not remember. Did not know Tad made any cases. Quess I will have to pull this thread until I find out more.

Anyone know now many cases Mike made like this? I can't recall seeing any that were not sewn on the side.

Not sure but I've seen at least 10-12 like this with the middle seam done like that. In fact, I just looked at a buddy's nice smooth black one last night. Just like this and was engraved on the bottom plate.
Good to know, thx. This must surely be the first gen then, as the others that followed had the mentioned engravings, Fellini lock, and the seam obviously moved to the side very quickly after getting up and running.
