I recently acquired some great shop pliers. They have true parallel jaws and are extremely well made for a lifetime of use. They were made for the US government ordinance dept ! Still being sold today for over forty dollars a pair ! They are Bernard Pliers, model 1026. I purchased a box of them labeled with a 1952 date. They are made before the days of even "made in Japan" let alone "made in China". True quality. I like them when I have to quickly grab a part with parallel surfaces when I want to grip it evenly, and not damage the edges of the part with normal scissors pliers. For me that sometimes means removing a stuck inlay, or any delicate part I do not want to butcher up.
I am asking $16 a pair shipped to any address in continental USA. No PO boxes please. They are as you see them, with the addition of a protective coat of a Cosmoline like substance that cleans of with Mineral spirits, or most handy solvents.
If you doubt the value, just google Bernard Parallel Pliers and you will see them, designed by an american inventor and produced here in the USA. I have 10 pair for sale. Paypal accepted.

Unless you got a private from me, I am sold out. If any are not paid for tonight I will allow the next in line to have one pair. I am selling even an extra two pair I was saving for myself. SO twelve pair sold in minutes. And I was concerned that I was offering something that you guys may not think was useful like I do !!!
 
Notice !

These are not nickel plated jaws, not made like that back in 1950. But maybe more robust back then too. I cannot believe how such heavy of sheet metal was smoothly formed for the handles, Amazing! If anyone wants out because not nickel plated and you were already accepted to purchase a pair, just message me and I will let you drop out. These pliers will need some wd40 or something to keep them rust free I think if you have a damp shop. I was not aware of the nickel plate difference when I posted them. I did not mean to deceive anyone. My pair is not rusting in my basement shop and mine are just bare metal. But under the right conditions even SS rusts. But I want to be honest here.

I received my pliers this afternoon. Thanks Lou, well made and I'm happy. I had a pair of these about 40 years ago. They were good for electrical work as they easily cut wire and would hold small hex nuts. My inlays have a slight taper on the outside edges and are a very tight fit into the pockets. When testing the fit they can be hard to remove if pushed in a little to deeply so when Lou said that they opened and closed parallel I knew immediately that I wanted a pair.

I hope others got theirs today as well, and see the value for our work. It would be worth paying full retail for a pair of them IMHO !
