Might not be just Michigan!!!
I'm complaining about the lack of effort to post the results of tournaments.
Many tournaments are promoted well, with allot of effort put into holding them and then in the end there is no results posted . (At least not that I can find.)
It happens all the time!!! Look at the "month of pool" in February. The Alpena tournaments. Johny Archer helped promote this event. They had a tournament every weekend. Did a great job!! But,, I can't find any results on the web. What gives???
The Valley State tournament from a few weeks ago,is a little better. Last year they posted results on Inside English but is lost now because they canceled the page it was on. This year,, I begged for the results ,,and got them. I posted them here in the tournament announcements page.(the only place they are listed I know of)
There is a BCA State tournament going on right now at the Souring eagle. I'm willing to bet,,unless there is someone there like me,,the results will not be posted!!
Posting the results of these large tournaments should be a no-brainer,, it needs to be done without question!! but yet it is NOT!!! I can think of several others not listed.
Does anyone else feel this way??? Why is so hard to put results up???

i remember when inside english posted almost every tournament result around michigan, i dont know if the td's arent calling them in or IE doesnt go out of their way for them anymore but it was nice to know who was bringing in the tops spots around town

A tournament Results page right here on AZ would be a great thing. Question is would the TD's take the time to post results?? Or even know about it??

I just posted that sponsors are cheated when the opportunity to post results AND THANK THE SPONSORS does not happen.

I just went and read that whole thread. You did not get much of a response either. I don't know how the sponsors feel, but the players should be ticked, like me!!
Players spend allot of money to go to these events, most don't get into the money. But it's not all about the money,,even if you win several events,or place high. You still may not break even from the cost of all the entries,rooms,ect.... It's a slap in the face not to be able to see the results.
It's not a matter of web space to post these things. I can still go and see all the pages promoting many large tournaments. The web space and means are there!! They just don't spend the time to do it!!!
I believe if more players,,or sponsors,,asked about a results page ,,,IT WOULD HAPPEN!!!

Once again: Even though most TDs have web space available,, If there was a place on here,, just for tournament results. It may make it much easier for them to post these things!! lol I have noticed the title of the posts on here,,go quickly into any google search; People looking would find these results.
Players need to start asking ,while at tournaments, about a results page. Tell them to post them here,,,,anywhere!!! Or maybe in the "tournament Announcement" page!! If there is enough response,,I'm sure it would be accommodated. (I hope) This would bring many people to this site!!

Not having a results page is Not acceptable!! People that agree,,need to say something,,it will make a difference!!

I know some people dont like results posted if they did well for 2 reasons.
1st. It knocks action
2nd. the IRS is potentially watching

LMAO!!! Ya right!! Both them reasons are a joke,,,a MYTH!! Winning or placing in a tournament is not going take any action away,,but I can believe that someone wanting attention and full of themselves would say that. Chances are they don't get any action ,,,win or lose!!!
Besides,,,placing well in a tournament is more likely to get you some action.
And if your one to always do well in a tournament,,,a favored player. You already have a rep. and that brings up hustling!!
Nobody ,,during a "hustle" is going to take a break and do a internet search to see if you won some tournaments!! lol

As far as the IRS??? Have you ever gave anyone involved with a tournament your SS number,,,or even your ID card??? lol

Good Grief,,charlie brown!! Hey ,,there's a good name to use in next tournament-----------------------> Charlie Brown!! ( for those worried about action,,IRS and are wanted by the Law!!!)) LMAO

For me and the other 99 of 100 players. Post the frigging results!!!!

Tournament results

My Wife and I have run a small tournament (20 to 30 players) twice a week here in Santa Fe, NM for the past year and a half. I feel this is an issue of follow through on the part of the tournament director. Most don't realize that the results will drive future attendance and a little extra effort will go along way. We always post our results on our web page (www.santafeshootout.com) often with either a video of the final match a sports page style wright up or a slide show of photos. This is a huge part of our success. Because we run our tournaments out of several bars our visibility would be non existent if it weren't for our web site. By the way our website is built using only free software and a free web hosting service so zero cost, only a little elbow grease. In the end what is comes down to is follow through. Yes it is work to make a good product for your billiard community but with out working hard together we wont ever get back to the level of success the cue sports once took for granted.

Thats good stuff!!!

need to back off for a bit

ok, you really need to back off for a bit on not having the results in michigan. the inside english staff had a tragedy and i dont know the whole story, but more important things than tournament results have had them busy lately.

just thought i would give you a heads up on the situation

Calm down,,,, lmao,,, there was 1 post on this thread that stated Inside English "usually" post tournament results. Nothing bad was said about them!!!

It is not their job to track down results anyhow,,it is the TD's job. (The Tournament Director) The people who run these tournaments should make the results available!! Not IE!!! Although that's a great place to post them.

I posted the Valley 2011 state tournament results here on AZ in the tournament announcement page. And there is approx. 20 people a day are finding it from a google search. The count keeps going up. People do want to see the results of a tournament they have been in.
Some even if they didn't get into it.
