Happens from time to time. Any tip my customer supplies is a $15.00 install. And yes, you must clean the ferrule first, or you'll get permanent chalk stains where the glue touches the ferrule. Also, as someone else said above, we are responsible for the glue bond only. I have no idea where this has been stored, or how old it is.
