Fairfield County, CT or Westchester County, NY 14.1 players?

I am located in Stamford, CT and really prefer to play 14.1 I have a Gold Crown III table in my basement and have a couple friends that come over for matches every 1 or 2 weeks but they are weaker players and I can give them a pretty good spot and still win. I play almost every day and would rate myself as a C player. While my high run is 30 balls (it was a good day) I am usually happy to run in the teens.

Would like to find some other players who reside nearby to play more matches. Would be great to be challenged by some stronger players to force me to elevate my game. I know there are lots of great players in NYC but there have to be others out in the burbs.

Any Fairfield County, CT or Westchester County, NY players up for some 14.1?

Just a bump to move the thread up. I scheduled a lesson with Scott Lee in March so I am hopeful my high run will improve soon. Must be some guys out there that can run some racks at 14.1 who don't mind kicking my butt on occasionally. Any takers?

If you're only in Fairfield, you must be in the city quite a bit. Amsterdam Billiards has straight pool leagues on two nights of the week and features some of New York's best players (Mondays, I believe). You should definitely consider it for the summer session which begins in late May, early June.

Thanks for the suggestion about Amsterdam's leagues. Already knew about them and I wish I were closer to NYC since I would love to participate. I do make it into the city every few months and once there it is easy to pick up a game .

Although I am close geographically as a pratical matter it would takes me about 3 hours round trip travel to/from Amsterdam Billiards. (Park at train station, train to Grand Central, subway/cab to Amsterdam) I would spend more time traveling than I would playing. Also I don't usually get out of work until around 6 or 7.

May have to hang out some at the pool hall in Norwalk, CT and see if I can find some 14.1 players there. There is also a poolhall in Stamford but most people play nine-ball. I really want to find other players nearby that enjoy 14.1

Or if there are players in upstate NY (New Paltz or Poughkeepsie area) I frequently take motorcycle rides on weekends in those areas. Riding into the city is not much fun. Short on twisties and heavy on traffic. A couple hours of riding twisty roads and a few hours of pool is a very enjoyable day. :)

I don't know if you have tried but US1 in orange is going to have some strong players in there on a regular basis. I don't think many of them play 14.1 but maybe. If you ever come north near hartford I love game but most people play 9 bal golf or one pocket. I also make in down to stratford every few months so maybe we could get a game in then.
