Falcon Cues

Falcons were great cues back when they were still made in Canada. Once the company got sold, not sure if late 90s or early 2000s, quality took a nose dive. Wouldn't surprise me if demand dried up for those.
My favorite cue I own is an early 90s Falcon. Original shaft didn't make it this long but with a bowling alley maple custom shaft on it, still delivers a beautiful feeling hit.
I wish they were still being made they way they were back in the day. Loved em.

I have a 30+ year old Falcon that I played with. I hadn't played in the past 20+ years and it came out of the case 4 times last summer. The linen wrap is still tight and like new, cue is still perfectly straight and has an old Moori tip that'll need changing sometime this year if I get out more often.

From the Falcon Cues I have seen on these links they look very plain to me. I don't think I would want to buy one as a result.

KPS is a big OEM maker. You design your own line and they build it. That's what KaoFa and KaoKao have been doing for years. The line of steel-joint Bama Cues from a few yrs ago were done that way. Wish i had bought one of those.

i'll preface by saying i could be mistaken BUT I'm almost positive Pockets Billiards in Newport News, Virginia has a line on original Falcon cues. A guy i play league with has a thing for original falcons and i think that is where he normally turns them up

Are Falcon Cues still being made? I can't seem to find any of them on any billiards websites.

I don’t know if they are still being made. What I can tell you is I bought one in the middle 80’s. During one of the Super Billiards Expo’s held in Valley Forge Bob Meucci hwas demonstrating his “cue machine” using his new “black dot” cue shafts. He was taking cues from the on lookers to put on his machine to compare those with his black dots. When he put my Falcon on the machine it out performed his black dot. He turned to me, looked me in the eye and told me to never sell that cue. I still own it

Did you read this thread??? Yes, they are still made in Taiwan. After Ernie shut down the shop in Canada he moved back home and kept making cues. They don't make any of the fancier/inlaid cues anymore. They do in the Bear line.

Yep those early early Falcon cues were damn good. I heard they moved and were pretty much just junk. So to answer your question, yes they are still made, but no they are not the quality of the early cues.

Not true. Ernie sold his equipment locally in Canada and moved back home. KPS(parent co) still makes Falcon, Bear(Bustamante has used them for yrs) and others. Still make very good cues. I don't know where people hear this shit.

Better call J&J those listings for falcon are 10yrs old. Lol .....pretty sure that they don't have any.
sure do. well, they did as of a couple mos. ago. if Brian doesn't have it it will say out-of-stock or discont.

i would just buy one of these. same thing jk

yeah right. not even close. The parent co., KPS, like most big Taiwan makers are capable from cheapass junk to extremely well made cues. You basically tell them what you want. Those GSE cues are in the cheapass category. No idea who makes them. Falcon/Bear cues are light yrs nicer than this shit.
