Tom.......I used the link and it sent me to what looks to be a price list which pretty much every cue-maker has.
My Scruggs was completed Septembed '06 and was selected from Tim's website and modified through customization
which included selecting the rings, veneer colors, and the butt sleeve's alternating inlays of abalone & ivory , in addition
to the cue specifications that were followed building the cue that included the shafts sizes. taper, wrap and butt weight.
I am the 2nd owner of my Scruggs cue and I purchased it from the original owner whom communicated with Tim via
email during the build where Tim sent some pics and also discussed & confirmed the cue specifications. The original
owner snet me copies of his communications with Tim from the very outset up until cue arrival.
The original owner told me Tim had photos of completed cues on his website and that's how he approached Tim but it
wasn't like Richard Black whom can make any fancy cue you want. However, his website lists approximately 1/2 dozen
models to choose from like Bushka, Split Diamond, Pendleton, etc. Richard personally told me he tries to keep a couple
in progress or completed cues in his shop for phone orders but these very same cues are made custom to the customer's
specifications.
I suppose neither Tim nor Richard could ever be confused or mistaken for a production cue-maker like so many other firms.
