Fanelli full splice... a little clarity

I have been asked to try and clarify the Fanelli full splice and post a few better pictures...

Here are a few of one of his latest creations.. Hopefully these better pictures will show in more detail exactly how confusing a Fanelli cue actually is :)

In the above image, you can see the orientation of the cue. Turn it 90 degrees and the lower design, becomes the upper design and vice versa.

fan_nn_fore.jpg

The forearm in the backing point up orientation. The butterfly is under that point going into the handle.

fan_nn_butt.jpg

The above image is the down point on the handle splice. When you turn the cue 90 from here, you get the backing down point.

Hope this cleared everything up...

I've been confused for the past half dozen visits to Paul's shop. Last year it was the faux "full-splice" blanks. Then came your purpleheart/ebony creation, one of the most complex and balanced cues I've ever seen. And now we have these amazing fullsplice blanks with 'flies and veneered points forming more points within more butterflies...Talk about not resting on your laurels!

Man Joe, i wish i had some serious money socked away thats my style of cue for sure ........ I love "different" and thatsure fits the bill... If you are playing with this cue people cant help but check it out im sure.........

This is really an innovation in a full splice cue. This is for the player that wants a non traditional full splice, but wants the "one piece" hit. These cues have a very nice, solid, play about them.

Plus with all the different combination's of colors, grain, woods, etc.. no two will ever be the same.

Great looking cue and a very creative build to get the wood to line up the way it did.
Awesome work!

joe everytime you post a pic from paul i try to figure out his processes in making these cues and frankly ... it hurts my head

he is a very unique talent!

Yeah I know.. they are unique and one of the most under appreciated playing cues there are. The one he made me was fantastic, I am designing another.. :)

very very under appreciated IMO. in my experiences butterfly cues are always a tough sell. never had any luck with them. from a construction stand point fanellis are the sickest cues. with all them splices and glue im sure they play very solid
