FargoRate and Local Tournaments

We recently started a series of tournaments at Champions Billiards in Frederick, MD promoted by Baltimore City Cues. We wanted to have the results of each tournament entered into the FargoRate system with the goal over time to have all the regular tournament players gain an established FargoRate.

This is a non-handicapped tournament but we initially set a cap of 625 to allow amateurs to compete and not have to contend with players that are approaching the semi pro level.. We realized there will be some growing pains until we get most of the players established.

Ozzy Reynolds was kind enough to help me set up a spreadsheet to complete at each tournament that can be loaded into FargoRate. We really look forward to using this system as it will be the standard in pool.We completed the first tournament and forwarded the completed spreadsheet to FargoRate.

Thanks for all your help Ozzy...greatly appreciated.

Good for you guys.I think fargorate is great idea and can only help the future of pool. Yes there will be growing pains. Getting better always comes at some cost.

I think Fargo-rate will be very good in the future .
My problem is with CSI not updating the system .
My Fargo-rate has not changed since last October.
My robustness has not changed since last October.
I played all winter long and I'm playing the summer session .
Something is wrong........

Thanks

Wedge: Thank you for helping us gain more data. This will help FargoRate get better and more accurate. If more local tournament directors would do the same, the sport would be better for it.

BuddyWing: It sounds like you are playing in a local league but your data is not getting into FargoRate. Which league do you play in? Is it a BCAPL or USAPL league? Does your league use software? As part of a partnership between FargoRate and CSI, we are developing league management software in which all league data will flow automatically into FargoRate. This software is currently being tested by approximately 20 divisions in different parts of the U.S. Once complete, it will be available to all BCAPL and USAPL leagues and data on those players will always be up to date. I hope this information helps and please don't ever hesitate to contact us (702) 719-7665.

Thank you.
