Fast Eddies Finale Dec 1-2

Well, I made it down here! ...just in time to see Gordy Vanderveer win the Ring Game! He finished in good style with an inside english kick combo to pocket the 10-ball! I'll post more when I get a chance! Priceline got me a decent deal at the Marriott here... just $80 a night!

awesome! LAst time I saw Gordy he was in that vicious back and forth with Bastrop at college station. Glad he's still shootin' the lights out... now for that Calcutta...

This was a good tournament with many, many good matches and all went very smoothly. It was fun.

The table was won by Rick Stanley. That is the 5th one we have raffled and three went to Austin.

By the way, you really played well Eric.
 
It was good to see you again Lewis! It was also nice to finally meet Melinda and BigTruck!

Sylver was down something like 5-8 in his first match, left a makeable 8-ball for his opponent... which was bobbled, and then went on the win the match! I guess he got back into stroke to make it to the hot seat!

Chen told me he'd win, so I guess I can't call him a liar! :p

I went 0-2... my practice went well, but my matches were pretty pathetic! I guess I need more tournament experience!

It WAS a great event, Lewis! You and Paul were outstanding, again.

I didn't palce 3rd, Helen did. But, I got 4th and just into the money round. Whew. Too bad I wasn't playing better. :( Heather double dipped Kyu to win the tourney.

It was nice to finally meet you Samiel!

Eric - CONGRAT's on a GREAT tournament! Woo-hoo!

As a side note, I had a race to five match with Bigtruck on Saturday early evening and won 5-4. :)

Hey nice meeting you bigtruck! Make sure you send me some info so I can send some people your way! By the way thanks Chen for getting me the money this weekend by snapping the tournament off! I looked real good in the calcutta going into Sunday 4 people in the winners and two in the losers. Chen got knocked in the losers and grinded out a win to make my weekend more of a blast!

BTW, it was nice to meet you Melinda! I hope your mother is doing okay!

Hey Big Truck it was nice to meet you finally. And hope to make it up your way to play in your tourny some time.

Inzombiac it was nice meeting you too!

Paul, Lewis, and Kevin. It was nice hanging out with all you guys. Sorry I couldn't stick around for Sunday, but I had my friend's kid and we needed to get back. Spent Sunday Christmas shopping.

Well I can't wait for the season opener........I vow to not go 2 and out again! LOL I almost made it a good one on my second match, but I let him back in it and he won. Oh well.

Anyway, we will see you all soon. Anyone want to chat shoot me a PM!

Great Tournament!!!

I didn't have any luck at the Fast Eddies 9 Ball tour, but I did have the opportunity to meet several AZers including; Inzombiac, Juice, Melinda, Poolplaya9,Txplshrk, Irackballs, Dragon Cue, Samiel and of course Ironman & Stones (I hope I didn't forget anybody). We may have to start having an AZ mini at these. It was good to meet all of you! Hope you can make it up to Waco sometime!

You're not the only one that got a piece of the Bigtruck. I rear-ended that Bigtruck on the one loss side as well. I know I know. I got lucky. Don't feel too bad, Bigtruck. I gave up two hill-hill 9-balls that sent me packing as well (one at NW & one at Embassy).
