Lafayette last year was a lot of fun. The people over there are just great and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Chano and Robert kept me in stitches all weekend long.

I wonder if Joey is coming?

The timing is just off for me as I will be supporting the home team (Buffalo Billiards) by donating to their bi-monthly tournament. Hope to see you next time. Thanks for the thought.

I had a good time at the last one, last year.

I don't remember you being here for the one last year Joey! But that is fine, go ahead and stay in N.O. for your local tournament. We aren't offended!:D :D

Hope the tournament at Buff's goes OK. The ring game will probably be pretty exciting tonight. I'm sure there will be some money exchanging hands on the sideline as well.

Take care.

Nice to meet you as well. We were all hoping for a bigger field in the tournament, but with the other tournaments in the region going on, it kind of hurt. Great play by several players. The ring game on Friday was nice to watch as well.

Charlie hung around after the tournament to shoot the bull with me and one of my buddies. He came a couple of years ago and held a training lesson for several guys here in Lafayette, mainly at the request of Chano and another guy here in town, and he and his girlfriend at the time came to my house to eat dinner with me and my family and gave my oldest son and I a lesson as well (my son was 8 at the time). He has been a friend ever since, and gave my friend and I a short lesson after the crowd left (about 1:45) even knowing that he was driving back to Houston. And all pro bono.

I particularly like the attitudes of virtually all of the players who came in from out of town, you included. Very courteous, etc.

The finals were a nailbiter, and when Chen missed that ball in the last rack, you could hear the crowd moan. Hillbilly jumped up so fast I think his feet came off the floor.

Again, nice meeting you. Hope to return the favor and travel up to the Dallas area in the future. I used to live in Rockwall on the east side of town and still have a few friends out there.

It was another hard fought event indeed.

I jumped nearly as high as hillbily when Chen missed he 2 ball. Very unususal, but, that's pool playin. Charlie is playing very well right now. Marriage agrees with him.

It was nice meeting al you guys and will see you again.

We look forward o seeing all of you in Waco this weekend.
