Fast Eddies Olhausen 9 Ball tour held it's monthly event this past weekeknd In Laffayette La.

The ring game was a $500 entry and included Charlie "Hillbilly Bryant,David G, Scotty Townsend,Gary Abood,Cliff Joyner, James Davis Jr, Kenny Greer, and Jui Lung Chen.

The weekend belonged to Jui Lung Chen as the man played amazingly well. Young Chebn won bothe the Ring game (with Gary Abood 2nd) and the Tournament with Scotty finishing 2nd. It was a lot of fun.

The locals in Laffayette are just the greatest people you will ever meet. My personal thanks to them for their hopitality. I can't wait to go back.

Hats off to Chen. This man made some incredible outs over the weekend and the last game of the ring game, I will not soon forget.

Sounds like a blasty blast. I can't wait to go to the event in November I am looking forward to mixing it up with all the known names. Is there gonna be a ring game in San Antonio?

I am going to try and put together something for the Friday night before. Probably on a smaller scale, like $200 entry. I will post more on it later in the week. This one is La. was a lot of fun.

Sounds interesting. Can you give us the scoop on how the last game went down?

Its always interesting to hear who is playing runout pool for the big money.

It is hard to describe and I don't know how to use the table.
At this point though, it was about 1:45 AM and Gaary Abood was all-in. They had gone back and forth for about 3 hours and both playing really well. As it got later in the night and with about 250 people watching, the table was wet and playing lightening fast and a little tight. There were $8000 in chips out and the chip count had stayed at $3800 for Gary and $4200 for Chen for about 2 hours, a real see-saw battle.

The last game though, they both kicked and hit the 3 ball 3 times with each getting safe each time. Finally Chen slice the 3 in backwards and just got horrible on the 4, but sliced it in as well. Finally Chen got to the 8 which was about 2 inches off the rail at about # 5 diamond and the cue ball ended up just dead straight in with 10 ball barely off the rail about 2 inches from the side on the opposite side of the table. Chen had the look though and rifled the ball into the corner at warp speed,drawing the cue ball to the end rail and back above the opposite side pocket and leaving him, not straight in, but virtually perfectly. The crowd went NUTS.

It may be allittle tough to appreciate unless you were there to feel the late night and humid conditions. I felt it a little strange as the crowd, not really knowing either player that well, seemed to be rooting for whichever player was shooting at the time. They seemed to just be pulling for both. Laffayette Louisiana is a fun place and great people.
 
thanks alot for the final game description. Chen sure had a good weekend, sounds like he earned every bit of it.

That would be good. It was a pretty incredible out considering the circumstances.

I'll try and learn to use it as well.
