Faster Than Eye!

Great shot. I like the sauve head roll after the shot. Thats about all i could accomplish on this shot

Is that you? I never saw that shot but have seen others like it. You have to be able to make the shot on demand though. Getting it on tape after 30 tries doesn't count, we can all do that.

I really don´t know how hard this shot is to pull on demand. Because i just found out how it should be executed and I was just fooling around with my follow trough. I gonna test it further next week.

I say that because Mike Massy comes to mind. He does things that look like a camera trick and does it on demand. There used to be tape out of a guy doing amazing trick shots. As you watched the tape you can actually see the ware and tear on the table progress. He must have shot some of the shots hundreds of times to get it on tape. The table goes from looking like new to beat to hell in the course of the tape.

I am not being picky but when a guy can steps up and say, "watch this" and does it, that is impressive. I remember Jimmy Caras, he did mostly set up shots but also a lot of skill shots and he almost never missed. Mosconi would miss like half his exhibition shots and he just had jokes he did if he missed. Caras was very dedicated to his show, he always got it right.

I remember at the US Open straight pool tournament once there was a delay for some reason and Cue Ball Kelly saw Caras sitting there and said, " Jimmy you want to fill a few minutes? He stepped up to the table with a borrowed cue and did like 15 minutes, never missed a shot. He was really great. I guess I am a little hard on these guys today who do shots on youtube with unlimited time to get the shots on tape. Not quite as impressive.

I'm assuming the trick shot tape you're referring to was the Japanese player?....
....he took two years to make that tape, I've been told.
Jesse Allred's shots needed a few takes also.....
...but they are great additions to the pool world.

Jimmy Moore showed me some shots that he didn't do in exhibitions....he just needed
too many tries.....and they were marvelous shots.

So I welcome the videos that took a lot of takes....we get to see shots that might take a
lifetime of watching otherwise.

There is room for live AND YouTube shots in this game.

I think I am only one Finnish player to do trick shots live show. There was total of 5 shows gala night and I was one them. I made about 15-20 tricks on table I never played before. I had 10 minutes to test table beforehand. One trick I had to try second time because I miscued. All other shots I nailed first attempt.
