Damn'it, let's flip for it. :D

It's a very nice case.

tails. Man!!!! but you bettter bring some $$$$, when JCIN shot it for the TAR site (if he posts it) there was $14,000 in the bottom compartment,

I give Jack all the credit for the design, I just wanted it black and fancy, I thought a while about the "FATBOY" name on it, and decided that was cool, the money bags are funny-Jacks idea, sadly since I closed my business we might have to put Food Stamps over them for a while :o ,

It was more than $1700, the leather is all carved perfectly, I will take out from time to time, I wont travel with it, I use an old junky case that dosent look expensive when I fly.

my only compliant about the case is the metal trim ring around the bottom is very soft and will dent up easily, no matter how careful one is that ring is too soft, thin it will protevt the leather but it wwill be dented up, I dont know of a better solution,

Jack did 95% of the design work and very impressed, I never had a case as ancy, I have a alagator Whitten thats made from a huge gator thats pretty sharp too. I use that here at home, or when I go to a pool room in Vegas(not to often). It cost me more but isnt as flashy.

Your case is functional art.

That is one of the nicest cases I've ever seen. Only negative thing is the green moneybags..... REALLY clashes, but otherwise - hot!!

Congrats Eric ...i'm sure your back can handle to carry Jack's case :)...

My suggestion

Since the case cost so much money...my suggestion to you and to Jack would be to simply talk to a metal fabrication shop and have the ring made out of a more durable material...titanium would be pretty sweet (and match that silvery grey tooling) and light but very expensive...but a nice piece of polished aluminum would work fine.

Is that a Gus or Barry in the pic???

Titanium is the best Choice

Great picture Jun of a super nice cue case! I'm on Jack's list (I hope) to get one of his fine cases.

the Szam is a Gus from the mid 70's, its about 59" long, or 58 7/8". It weighs 20 oz, I havent put on a scale myself but it feels like 20 and Barry said it was that it is 20. The shafts are amazing, they are smooth and hard, you cant ding them, I'm super careful with all shafts but sometimes shafts are a bit soft and no matter what you get what I call "Micro dings" i never move balls or chalk with them but somehow they get a few "Micro dings" the shafts for this cue are polished like a diamond, they are sealed with hand oils no chalk gets into the pores because there arnt any, and no they are not painted or sealed-its a patina from lots of use, I have a few other Szams and Bushkas that are like that, I have never usd any shaft enough to get them like that-close but not perfect. Barry wrapped it with Penn recently. It is the triple nuts, the double black veneer on the outside with the rose wood prong is awesome, the butt sleve is just rose woon, the finish is 7/10 Barry didnt paint it.

Since my last 2 operations in feb and march I needed more exension so I went up an inch and it has helped alot with stun shots when you gotta fire them hard to move the rock, I was able to before with a 58" but not now, its amazing what an 1" will do, i busted out a 60" and it was too much, i'm still playing bad but atleast i can play a little; occasionally i come with a shot that shows there is smething in there, but repeting it is the proble, glimpses of -not greatness but glimpses of experience, its frustraitating not to be able to stiring it togetherm if i feel good by monday morning I'm at the gym, and that awalys helps my coordination/game. i have had 3.5 days of tollabrable pain, not crippling.

I believe that will be my player for a very long time unless I'm going to a vactions etc, Gus shure knew how to build a cue, and now thats it has aged it just gets better, i let a friend who plays the 6 ball or more above me use it and he didnt want to give it up---to bad for him he had a fancy Gus, but he liked hw this one plays,

i gotta sleep, more on it tomarrow,,

sleepyboy i'll be fatboy tomarrow.
