Favorite forearm point/veneer colors - show 'em

I

I like the color scheme of my last two cue designs completed last May while ivory was still legal to use for California cue owners.

I really like those. They seem to have the old style look with a new twist on it if that makes sense. That is kind of the direction I am going with my design - I want some of the old style design aspects, but little things here and there that let you know it is a newer cue.

I really like the way the way the stain & veneers turned out with my 1st Jerry R. custom in 2015. Rather than post individual pis, here's the veneer colors of what's in my case

If I had extended the cues in the other photo, you'd see most of the cues use Cortland Linen (my favorite).
However, that would have been a very poor choice with that particular cue design and the easy choice
would be to use black leather wrap which would have made the design look more ho-hum. I needed
a neutral color and gray was a perfect fit. Then the problem was finding the right leather and color of
gray which I searched for the better part of a year. Thank goodness Martin Bick at Superior Cues rode
in at the last minute as my cue was nearing completion, He said he located a wrap that was a deluxe
elephant leather wrap and I think he referred to it as elephant belly leather, not elephant ear. My EP
cue has a EE leather wrap but the belly leather is much nicer in texture, feel & appearance than EE.

I really like that... not sure I've seen one quite like that before. I believe you when you say the feel is nice.... just by looking at the picture you can tell it would feel great in your fingers. The appearance of course looks terrific as well.

My design will be for the most part black and white outside of the point colors I end up selecting. A lighter black/grey color like that would really look great with this.

I haven't decided on ivory or not for the whites, but I am leaning against it with all the laws being passed. Possibility of traveling with it (airplanes) and should any of the ivory need replaced down the road are both pushing me against it. Plus I plan on playing with it... probably not full time, but it will get some use. The ivory discussion is getting off track, but I am looking at the larger picture for everything as far as what the final design will end up being.

My 2 favorite combinations...

black/purple/blue/white
black/orange/yellow/white
