Favorite Joint Material, not that kind!

I played with a Huebler for around 20 years, loved that cue, bought a Ned Morris with 3/8 x 10 wood-wood and love it, won't go back to SS.

Phenolic joint collar, flat faced and a big pin of some sort with a nice and tight fitting shaft.

When in doubt, just look at the cues mentioned in my signature.
I am still struggling about ordering a custom cue but sans ivory.

I've played with cues using Juma & it was okay but not the same.
Big pin, flat ivory joints are the just the best but to each their own.

A pool cue does not imbue you with added skills because of how
it was made but a mismatched cue to what you prefer can distract.

ivory sleeve around phenolic, piloted 5/16 14

or

stainless, piloted 5/16 14

Looking back over the years I've played and the cues I've had, I've played the best with cues with the above joint types.
