My friends, relatives and loved ones have sent me their Christmas lists, but I've been slow getting one out to them. Today I thought to myself... why not ask for some Accu-Stats videos?

So, please post a description of your favorite Accu-Stats video! It can be One Pocket, Banks, Snooker, Three Cushion or whatever you like. I'm a fan of all Billiard Games!

Maybe others will see this list and find a few matches they've never seen before! I bought the 2005 DCC One Pocket match of Reyes/Matlock and Reyes/Deuel and enjoyed it. I also bought the 2006 DCC One Pocket match of Reyes/Pagulayan and Reyes/Miller and realized I was wrong when I thought Reyes couldn't play better than he did in 2005!

So, please post something like...
- SKU - D8-1P3D
- Players - Reyes/Pagulayan
- Year - 2006
- Tournament - DCC
- Game Type - One Pocket
- Comment - Reyes plays incredible One Pocket!

Thanks!

Shannon Daulton vs Efren finals 1 pocket(I think Derby City) its recommended at Accustats. Grady/Billy I call it the BEST 1 pocket display to learn from.

US Open 14.1 Sigel vs Zuglan best 14.1 EVER. Sigel goes 150.

1966 US Open Balsis vs Crane 14.1. Crane goes 150 along with some super showmanship, and a very "old skool" feel. The announcer is super funny in his very 50's proper speech and excitement.

have a great holiday, Gerry

Of all the Accu stats matches I own, my favorite is 3 cushion - Sang Lee vs Lou Havermans, in which Sang runs a 15 and a 14, and the maginficent commentary of Robert Byrne makes it even better.

I have over 300 of them now. They're all super if you love pro pool at all.
Pick one and you can't go wrong.

As an idea, why don't you search for your favorite players on their website and pick the discipline you would like to see them matched up in.
The commentators are something else to consider. Any of them that are hosted by Grady Mathews, Billy Incardona, Danny DiLiberto, Nick Varner, Buddy Hall or Jim Rempe are worth every penney. You'll learn a lot and be entertained as well. I watch them over and over and can't recommend them highly enough.

the Strickland/Reyes match from back around 1995 or 1996, i think its at the Reno tournament, not sure. Efren wins 13-12, and makes one of the most incredible shots ever in the last rack to win the match. Earl was applauding him for that shot.

somebody on here should be able to give you the exact details, or else the folks at Accu-Stats will know which one it is.

Theres one with Archer v. Rempe back in the early 90s. Its the best match I have ever seen. Its a race to either 13 or 15 and both players are running 4 or 5 racks at a time. Its very impressive.

Southpaw

Best match I've ever seen is Mike Sigel Vs. Nick Varner, 1990 U.S. Open 9-ball. Incredible match with an incredible ending. I won't spoil it.

If I had a gun to my head and had to pick one, this would also me my first choice.

It is my all time favorite match and both guys shoot over a 950 i believe and YES their are many racks run and i think 3 balls missed the entire match.

This is one of the best matches, and the shot at the end is amazing. Here are the details as I own it:
Efren Reyes vs Earl Strickland
Hosted by Bill Incardona and Jim Rempe
Sands Regency Open 21 finals
S21-11 107 mins
I think this is from 1995. This is a must have.
Happy holidays.

I vote for this one. I got this one for Christmas last year and love it!!

I got out the Sigel-Varner 1990 U.S. Open 9-ball match to watch it again. Just to pique your interest, here are two quotes from Grady and Buddy at the end of that match:

Grady: "Buddy, I have never seen anything like that in my entire professional life!"

Buddy: "I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, seen anything like that in my life!"

It is truly a unique match.

Parica V. McCready 2003 US open

There are actually two of these. McCready won the first one then Parica came back and beat him later in the tournament. The won McCready wins is my favorite although I like both players Keith is just so darn entertaining (especially when he is playing good) :) Looks like that could be one of our last looks at him playing at that high level. Come back!!! Pool needs some personality!!!

Thank you for all the suggestions. Keep them coming! It looks like I'll have to ask for more than a couple for my stocking! :p

I think this one is no longer available. I don't see it on their website.

EDIT: Nevermind... found it!

The Archer-Rempe match is a race to 13. Great match by both players, but not quite running 4 or 5 racks at a time (2 or 3 here and there though). Archer shoots a .937 and Rempe shoots a .932.

Another great match with both players at their best is Buddy Hall vs. Earl Strickland from the December, 1990 Sands Regency Open. Buddy is playing perfect pool in a race to 11 and has Earl down 9-5 and, well, let's just say Earl catches a gear.

The Sigel 150-and-out against Zuglan is an absolute must. Tables were playing easy, but it's still the greatest cueball control I've ever seen in a straight pool match. Both players get within an inch of the cushion on the lag, Zuglan breaks, and that's the last time he shoots. Zuglan came back and ran a 148 on Ray Martin later that evening, which is also on Accu-Stats.

Greatest match I've ever seen between Efren and Earl was the finals of the Tara Open in Atlanta, Georgia from April, 1988. Race to 15, it goes hill-hill, with incredible play from both players throughout the match and an exciting finish. I'm not sure if Accu-Stats still produces this tape though.

the mentioned sigel varner is great

there is a match of strickland and varner from about 90 or so that i LOVE. it goes hill hill, its not sands, not sure which one it is, but its great.

strickland vs reyes 89 i think, maybe one of the first accustat matches. unreal, and efren dogs it at the end. that particular match efren shoots my all time favorite nine ball shot.... he banks a one ball 2 rails at the nine. if the nine goes he wins and if not he sticks the cueball to another ball and its safe (it didnt go). a brilliant shot, and from long distance.
