Schuler's play well, but for look, finish, playability, and resale value, Schon is by far the best. In my area, it's by far the most common brand among the top players.

What is your definition of a production cue?

I play with a Schon and I don't consider it a "production cue". The fit, finish and overall quality tells me that this cue was made by craftsmen of the trade. You also have to consider that Schon started out making custom cues back in 1981. What makes Schon different from TS, AC, Jensen or any of the other new talented cuemakers? To me a "production cue" is a Cuetec
or some other brand that gets mass produced overseas.

I have touched on this subject already in this thread.... Schon makes/has made custom cues... The STL line IMO is a production line of cues.... I like Schons and believe that they are the best of all production cues as far as quality and consistancy... I didn't mean to offend anyone by listing any of these brands as production...

I'm not offended and that is not the tone I intended. I was just stating my opinion. I appreciate your poll, but I just don't agree with it completely.

No worries:D

I love the way a schon hits with a fiber pad and a hard herc tip.

Day to day player is a mezz zz 09 with a hard moori. For me the hits are quite similar but i think the mezz unbeatable for the money.
