Fedor vs Alex ~ new game and new bet?

I’m paying off, not a big deal. I’m cool with Demetrius. That’s not my beef.

But I’m done with these shit show chop suey internet matches. That’s the lesson here. WAY too much business for me on this shit. I don’t believe any of it. All biz, every one of those gaff matches, from TAR to now. And yeah I was involved in some biz on those. 😳😳

Ahhh shit.

Tell him you got short arms and deep pockets.

I might need the installment plan……
Should we start up a GoFundMe?

That is why I never bet a dime on anyone but myself.

Alex has already demonstrated he plays by the saga. Unfortunately, brutal action for us rail farts. (posting for a friend)

Betting on these stream matches, to me anyway, makes about as much sense as betting on pre-season football or even worse the ProBowl. They may or may not be totally on the square. They are entertainment imo and should be treated as such. Seen waaaay too much shenanigans over the 40+yrs spent around this game. Little leery/gunshy when it comes to this stuff.

That’s a brilliant point-preseason. It’s all bullshit. Simple as that. You can be sure for fun, social or real $ I’m never betting one of those things again-ever. Unless I’m playing in it…..then…….😉

Two guys gambling for big money get in a disagreement over racking is nothing new to pool lol

It had nothing to do with the stream.

We only stream the match the players and their backers control every thing else.

This match came very close to being completely stopped at that point.

We were already thinking the best way to refund money to the viewers.

Fortunately the players and their backers finally reached an agreement that was satisfactory to both sides and they were able to continue.

Don't stop. You're doing great.

And it would be naïve to think that doing business is exclusive only to pool matches matches that are live-streamed.

If these two players were doing any kind of funny business why would they have this type of disagreement in the first place ?

This was all very strange to me. Changing the rules a third of the way through the match. I agree with the poster who said "All bets off."

It made me laugh because I had listened to a Podcast, Cue It Up, and they were all saying that going to the template would do nothing but destroy Alex due to Fedor's break. Made him 10 games better. lol

Alexs seemed, to me, unsure of himself all three days while Fedor seemed supremely confident at all times. If he wasn't male his nickname would have to be "Mom" for Master of Mechanics. He is so solid it is sick. Filler, at his hottest, might have a chance just by keeping him in his seat. I would not be surprised if in 5 years he is in the conversation of who is the best of all time in all games.

I have a question. Why did he change his breaking spot on the 2nd day when on the previous day he was making the 1 ball in the side pocket virtually every break?

I imagine by "2nd day" you mean Thursday (not the 2nd day of the second match). For the 2nd day (1st day of the second match), they switched from using a triangle rack to using a template rack. The balls tend to react differently between those two racks. With a template, the typical course of greatest success in 10-Ball is to break from near the center of the table, playing to make (in a side pocket) one or both of the balls just behind the 1-ball and send the 1-ball up to the head of the table in position for the next shot. Several other balls (such as the back-corner balls going 4 rails to the foot-rail corners) are also candidates for pocketing from that breaking position. But with a triangle rack, that approach tends to not work so consistently. The higher percentage play is generally to break from near the side rail, trying to make the 1-ball in the side pocket.

On the first day (Match 1), Gorst made the 1-ball in the side pocket on 13 of his 24 breaks.

On the 2nd and 3rd days (Match 2), he made one or both of the balls behind the 1-ball in a side pocket on 34 of his 50 breaks (including 22 of 25 on the last day).
