On the Main Page, I was reading the article entitled: "http://www.azbilliards.com/2000storya.cfm?storynum=4144 BPPPA President Surprised and Humbled by Gift from Players."
The president of the BPPA, "Bristow, was the grateful recipient of a classically designed Wayne Holmes custom cue, commissioned especially for this purpose with a digitally laser-etched solid ivory panel bearing the inscription: "'Ted Bristow - bpppa.org - from The Gang.'" Now, that is very nice, the players giving something back to the president for his hard work!
I'm still learning the acronyms for pool, but is the BPPPA to England like the UPA is to United States?
Anyway, this quote from the article was interesting to me. It was given to the "President of the official American cue sports organisation in the UK in gratitude and recognition of his tireless efforts promoting the U.S.-style discipline on these shores.
Next time somebody knocks American pros, I'm going to remember that line! That means the Brits admire the American pros for their discipline. I like that!
