Hi Folks,

Just got back from Vegas. Met up with several fellow posters. As I'm old and have a failing memory :o , I might miss one or two. I'll apologize in advance.

Meet up with John and Karen Barton. They were kind enough to allow me to use a Ultimate Rugged case during my week in Vegas. Liked the back pack idea so much, I changed the design of my "butterfly" to the same double strap. Also got to meet Jack Justis. A fellow traveler from Rochester purchased a beautiful case from Jack with his winnings from a day gambling at the Rio. Lucky dude!!!

Spent an hour or so discussing my game with Scott Lee and Randy Goettlicker. Two of the games finest instructors. Why more players don't take advantage of their free pool school during the BCAPL event is beyond me!

Got the opportunity to play Craig (The One) Riley and Danny Feathers. During my match with Craig, got to introduce him to Lee Brett. They both speak the same language (UK) ;) .

While wondering around, met up with Joe Tucker, Bill Stock, Mark Griffin, Tom McGonagle, Rick Jones (who thought my legs had something in common with chickens) and the one and only Joey A!!!! What a treat.

Stopped by the OB booth and discussed the use of the Balance Rite adapter with Royce Brunnell. Really appreciated his input. Also had the chance to say hello to Don Owen.. Formerly the O of OB. Great guy. Great player. While at the McDermott booth, Jayme Cernicka was kind enough to repair the bumper on my twenty four year old cue. Great service still happens! Mike and his crew at Omega were as helpful as ever.

You may have noticed I skipped the part about playing. Best I can say I was there. The player stayed home  :thud: .

Formerly? Is he no longer related to the company in any way?

As far as I know. Met he and Royce separately. Don mentioned years ago he was no longer involved. If I'm incorrect, someone PLEASE let me know. Do not want to do a dis-service to either.

It was great meeting you Kid!

Next time, you have to set aside some time to give me a spanking.

Well, you're kind of right.

Don Owen, and his wife Anita, are partners in OB just like they've always been. Although Don and I discuss many many things about the company on a regular basis, he doesn't hold an actual working position, and never really has. We are very close though, and Don and Anita are tremendous assets to me and the company.

I'm sorry if I gave a different impression. I certainly didn't mean to. They come to Vegas as more of a vacation whereas it's a work trip for me.

It was great to see you again. Sorry we didn't have a little more time to visit, it was pretty busy that day.

See you again next year.

Royce,

Thanks for the clarification. Probably misunderstood Don years ago when he explained his OB involvement. Regardless, you guys are great and your products are first class!
