Wait for the sales pitch..... But first let's face the truth. No one wants to regularly watch a grainy webcam online with audio that sounds like a maimed robot.

There are hundreds of do it yourself live billiard streams from pool rooms and tournaments all over the world. About a dozen of them are worth watching, a handful are worth paying for.

Live billiard streaming has become extremely popular over the last 5 years. It's an incredible tool to promote and market products and services. Not to mention the capability for players to review their games and games of their friends.

Today, to produce a live stream of good quality you have to call in an expert with a truck load of equipment. Planing and coming up with a budget to pay for it is another hurdle. To simply put it, it's just a pain to plan and pay for an outside service to come stream your event. It's tough enough financially, as it is to run, and keep running a successful tournament.

In the next post, I will talk about the DIY live stream camera that was released in May of 2015 from a world leader in electronic high definition camera surveillance. Like cameras used in Casino's, but 10 times sharper and easy to install.

See you on the next post.

I'm back to elaborate on the DIY live streaming kit from feltcam.com. For you techie guru's an other live streamers please take a look at the camera's technical spec sheet here >> http://www.axis.com/files/datasheet/ds_v5915_63740_en_1505_hi.pdf

The camera was designed with live broadcasts in mind where action is involved, such as sporting events. Perfect right? Exactly what I said.

It's predecessor, the Axis Q60 series were slightly off the mark to be used in a fashion for billiards. They have poor audio encoding capability (only up to 16khz) and video could only be retrieved via an ethernet cable. It also could not smoothly pan, tilt and zoom. Essentially the Q60 series was more for surveillance side of the market. But alas! The V59 series is here, and it's going to be freaking awesome for us in the pool world.

The V59 series camera is completely a self contained broadcasting station. It does all the encoding to send exceptional broadcast quality HD Video and CD Quality Sound through the internet. It is a 1 wire hookup to a local internet router or internet connection. It really is a neat device, but it has a hefty price tag, MSRP $2599.00 USD. Not to worry about the price though. This is where feltcom.com does the duty to bring this miraculous piece of technology to any pool room or tournament venue globally, for a very affordable monthly rate.

In my future posts, I will elaborate more on how the Axis V59 series integrates online, into feltcam's web network, on-screen live scoring from players with their mobile devices, and much more. Thanks for your attention. Be right back with more details.

This will be my last post until after the Space City Open in Houston, Texas. www.spacecityopen.com (a current feltcam.com live webspace) Be sure to tune in Dec 3-6 @ www.spacecityopen.com/live

feltcam is evolving every week from input from live streamers and players alike.

Another feature of the Axis V59 series is it has the capability to use an external 64 GB memory card to record around the clock. For instance, if a great match was not live streamed it could still be retrieved and played on-demand online. The Axis V59 will even store video on a local network accessible storage device (NAS).

Starter kit (future upgrades available as features are added)

What the monthly fee will provide: (2 year agreement required)

  1. Axis v5915 Camera
  2. Unlimited Webhosting for your live webspace (You will be required to maintain your domain name at a domain registrar of your choice. Typically $12-16/yr to have your own domain name. If you don't want your own domain name, your live webspace will be located @ feltcam.com/"yourlivewebspace")
  3. 24/7 technical support
  4. Your own merchant gateway for PPV or On-Demand
  5. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SEO integration for sharing videos

$139.95 a month for 2 years. After 2 years an evaluation of the video content received will determine what discounts will be applied to a month to month payment to continue to use the camera and webspace. It could very well possible to totally eliminate the monthly payment by the popularity of the video content you create from your pool room or tournament venue.

I hope you enjoyed this brief overview of exciting things to come. If you wish for me to provide more details, we can schedule a phone call to discuss.

I will see you on the live stream @ www.spacecityopen.com next weekend, so you can catch a 2 camera setup in action!

Thank you!

Another great feature of feltcam.com, is room owners who work incredibly hard to produce and provide a live stream of their patrons will not completely go to waste. A major headache in the online world is cornering all site traffic to your prized glory, and get 100% credit for it. [green box in picture] All the money spent to create a website and have it hosted online, to be circumvented by a 3rd party. [red box in picture]

With FeltCam, you host exclusively your live video exactly the way you want it. It can't be circumvented, and no 3rd party link to take away all the credit for your hard work. More site traffic rates you higher in search engines to make it to the top of the list.

God bless who shared this wonderful live stream. A prime example of the popularity of live streaming of today.

I searched YouTube and the quality is pretty good on it. What about ability to add graphics, run commercials and put on screen banners? Something similar to what Diamond Billiards or Main Street Billiards have?

Do you have a video example of the quality?

Hey Lenny! Glad you inquired. Mad respect for your works over the years in live streaming. I would enjoy to be able to provide back end support for your live streams and recordings on the internet so you can get the most out of your production. Here's how I can help.

The offer, if you were to get a V59 camera and pay monthly, it would include unlimited web hosting. This would help offset your costs if you are currently paying a monthly fee to host your website some place else. Transferring your website to our servers is also included with a hosting control panel. This may help justify the $139.95 a month, because your hosting is now included in the monthly payment.

If at this time you're not interested in a V59 camera, I can still provide unlimited web hosting for your web site that also includes the live streaming back end for an affordable monthly rate that we can discuss. Even trade services if necessary. It still puts you in a position to consolidate your web hosting with the live streaming back end.

It would also be a choice to you if you wish to host your website (ontherail.tv) on our Wordpress multi-site network which instantly grants you access to users who've signed up for previous streams on other live web spaces we currently host. Such as; thetornadoopen.com, spaceceityopen.com, pistolperez.com, snapregionaltour.ca, gulfcoastwomenstour.com, feltcam.com, and onsitepool.tv. It is very similar to how users sign up on a free streaming service (which you currently use), and that same login is available for all live web spaces that are on the network. I would recommend to join the Wordpress Multi-Site network, as you can leverage all users to promote your stream. (and every user will be of billiards interest) Currently we don't have subscribe buttons, and things of that nature, but with how small the billiard community is, users would know that your streams are part of a group of live billiard streamers. Much like what justin.tv/twitch.tv did for gamer streaming. Except, this would be for billiards.

The Wordpress Multi-Site network also has it's own merchant gateway for PayPal, Stripe, and others, that you can exclusively link to your online accounts. You can create pay-walls for past content, such as your Scott Frost videos, or other works, but have 100% control of the content and income generated from it. Your only cost would be the merchant fee. No 3rd party fee with my system (or hopefully yours in the future)

To answer your questions about running commercials, sponsor banners, and quality. With dedicating hosting on the same network as the live stream back end it eliminates the embedding process that diverts web traffic. If the viewer can only watch the stream on ontherail.tv, then everything on the page surrounding the live broadcast will be seen 100% of the time. Your site analytics will be your own and 100% accurate. Instead of having to cram all of your sponsorship and advertising in a tiny video window to make sure exposure is adequate for your sponsors, (since a free streaming service hogs much of the web space) You now can utilize an your entire web space to do the duty of commercials, and sponsor banners. Adding it to the video would be a BONUS. This can give you more options in your advertising packages to boot!

You can see the quality here with a few highlight videos I made from The Tornado Open. Amazingly, these highlights are at a very low bitrate. 600kbit/s, and the V59's quality even looks great at 360p.

http://thetornadoopen.com/2015/10/11/efren-reyes-3-fouls-james-davis-jr-highlight-9-ball/

You will notice that this highlight video has its own analytics, is Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram Optimized when shared. With this new network you, I, and all others who host on the network have 100% of the traffic flow. No 3rd party will ever be needed again!

I'll get you on the live stream this weekend from The Space City Open so you can judge for yourself the quality of the V59's and the live streaming backend. I'm pretty busy here this week, and after the Space City Open stream lets get together on the phone and chat about it.

If necessary, I can give you a 30 day free trial of the web hosting and such, if you want to test the waters and make a decision.

Hope this was informative enough for ya buddy.

Make an account @ http://apbglobal.com/spacecityopen/wp-login.php (click register) and I'll give you the on-demand pass for this weekend so you can check it out.

Zach.
