Ferrule for McDermott I-3 shaft

Hi. Does anyone know which billiard store would have a ferrule for McDermott I-3 shaft (that super small one)? My friend plays with that rather nice shaft, but unfortunately his ferrule developed a small crack it seems.

Oh, I also did the same thing to my Z. A well known store wants 50$ for a Z shaft ferrule. Fair price?

No, that is not a fair price. Call Predator and tell them your story. They will iether tell you to send the shaft to them or they will tell you where to go to have it repaired. They use a priority ferrule and it is installed differently than other types of ferrules. Few repair men are familer with Predators system or knowledgeable in what makes them have less squirt. Do you want them to experiment and learn on your shaft? Installing a different type of ferrule will affect the way the shaft controls squirt no matter what other cuemakers may say.

Thanks for your reply.

Me and my two clubmates will order some pool stuff from Seyberts.

I actually ordered this new Z square or whatever it is called shaft + extra ferrule for my old shaft. I have someone who will put the ferrule on for me. I know that ferrule must be original for the shaft to retain original characteristics. The price of it certainly suggests that it is...hopefully I won't get screwed...:)

What complicates things is the fact that I am from a far away country in Europe called Croatia, so it is very impractical for me to send just a sole shaft overseas. The shipment in both directions would cost nearly the shaft itself lol...but I'm afraid that my frient with I-3 shaft will have no other option...another adventure for him...:)

European stores? I won't even look at them any more. They don't offer much and prices are terrible. Besides, US dollar is now a whopping 25% weaker than Euro currency, so that's another plus.

Predator,

So Seyberts sells the Predator ferrules? How much are they? I couldn't seem to find them in their online catalog. Are they listed there or do you have to call and inquire about them?

Thanks!

Don't look for them in the online catalogue, because you won't find any. When you order online (just at the time when you're about to enter your credit number lol), there is this special window where you can type your special wishes, inqueries, etc. But since you're in the US, you might give them a call.

I don't think they sell those ferrules officialy. I got a quote of 50$ for a Z shaft ferrule. Don't know about 314.

I would not go for that 50 dollar ferrule......especially since predator has their new Z2 shaft out! the new shafts use a different type of ferrules. I still do not believe those ferrules are 50 per!!! that is the going rate for ivoy through some cue makers!. I would really check too see what you are getting!!
