Ferrule on Lucasi

What material did they use on an older lucasi shaft 5/16x18
I cut one off and it seemed harder to cut than g-10 almost ceramic like

Call 'Cue and Case', (800.835.7665).
The owner of Cue and Case, Jim Lucas, is also the owner of the Lucasi cue line.
I'm thinking that the orig. ferrule mtrl. was either Aegis or LBM.
Today, they use a mtrl. called 'XTC'.

KJ is right, they are now using XTC, which is very bright white. i know previously they also used ivorine 3, which is not as white and has a fine weave in it. i don't know if they used something else before ivorine 3.

actually, speaking of XTC, anyone know where you can buy these ferrules? i've never seen them for sale
