Ferrule question - need opinions

If this product is textured I am sure it wouldn't be for me. The texture would give the chalk dust something to hold on to or to adhere to which is what I am looking to avoid. I am looking for something without the "mesh" or texture.
I want something smooth and non-porous.

Kevin,

English is not my mother-tongue, so I didn't express myself precisely. Elforyn is not textured by means of an uneven surface, it is non-porous. But it comes in two varieties: Plain or cwith yellow streaks in the white, resembling natural ivory more closely.

Detlev

You got me there Sheldon!

But in my defense, the picture was taken out of context from my web site. The text that goes along with that picture says that the cue is the FIRST cue I made. Back then, I was using blue chalk and that was the result. Ugly isn't it :(

I made the change since that picture was taken. You won't see that on any other cue on my site. Including my own playing cue on the last page.

Just letting my sarcastic/smart*ss side show a little... sorry. :) Put the cue with the holly on the front page!
Here, I cleaned the ferrule for you. :)

Melamine is the best I have seen for staying clean. Why don't you want to use ivory?

Try Saber T...it gives melamine the 6 out for "staying clean"...you have my word.;)

I have 10 shafts that I would like to replace the ferrules on. Can you give me a price for 10 Ivory ferrules installed and 10 Melamine ferrules installed. If that doesn't answer the question we need to talk about you and I doing some business.;) In all seriousness I do like Ivory not only for my ferrules but I love it as an inlay material as well. I was just looking for another materail that closely mimicks the qualities of Ivory. I have ordered a few Saber-T ferrules to try, I will order some Melamine as well.

Thank you to all who have offered their opinions for my question.

I've got a couple of 6" pieces of the Saber T on the way. I'll post my impressions when I get it.
