I just bought a new cue and the ferrulle is not the right length 1.25 inch and wrong type of material but everything else on it is perfect. I want to swap it out and either cut it to 3/4 of an inch and replace it with a LBM (Melamine). Instead of cutting I wanted to know if you all had any recommendations of what ferrule to replace it with and get the same sweet hit and squirt factor as a 3/4 inch Melamine. But, in the 1.25 inch lenght.

Thanks!

1st of all, if you go from a 1 1/4" ferrule to a 3/4" ferrule your Q will be shorter. 2nd what makes you think that you will get the same hit, as your old Q. HIT is dictated by tip, ferrule material, weight of the shaft, taper of the shaft & joint material. Unless ALL of those things are the same as some other Q, just changing the ferrule, probably won't give you what you want...JER
