Hi guys,

Just returning to pool after a long hiatus. I play a custom Jim Buss that I ordered from Jim in 2001 for roughly.. 1650 ish...
It has 2 shafts, 1 in brand new condition and 1 used. I think its a 4 pointer with 4 or 5 veneers.. ivory inlays..

Any idea what the market price is now adays for a resell??

Also, what's the best used cue that can be had for roughly $200? Should I be looking retail or custom in the sneaky pete department? Doesn't need to be fancy.. quality over style.

Lastly, I'm in the market for a nicer 1X2 case .. something like a Whitten but maybe a little cheaper. I have a custom 2X4 but have no interest in lugging it around as its too big, too flashy, etc..

Thanks guys,
Dan

IF you already have that cue Why not just use it. Why downgrade? Just curious. PErsonally never seen a Jim Buss But with the economy the way it is. I guess around a Grand or so depending on the quality of the cue. I'm sure the more experienced cue dealers will give you a better answer.

Howver to answer your question. If you bump up a couple hunderd bucks you can get a nice Plain Jane Custom cue from a lot of the cuemakers Such as Carolina, Bryan Mordt, Lee Peppers, and a bunch of others on here. Or if you'd like something a little more fancy a nice Production cue Like a Pechauer would fit the bill. I think Pechauer makes the best production cue.

haha the $200 dollar cue would be a present for my girlfriend's father. My cue is my gamer.. I'm just wondering what it would bring for sale in case I wanted to downgrade to something a little cheaper. I don't play that often anymore so its kind of sitting around. I probably will just keep it though.

More interested in the $200 cue or the 1X2 case (posted a WTB).

Chad McLennan (CAMCUES) builds some mean conversions in that price range.

Lastly, I'm in the market for a nicer 1X2 case

AH that makes more sense. I think Pechaur still makes the best Production cue.

That's some good advice. Click here for Pechauer cues that start at $225. Carolina Custom makes some nice sneakies as well. But their cues start at $300, click here and scroll to the bottom of the page

Where do I find info about CAMCUES? I'd be interested in a conversion.

These are nice but a little on the pricey end.. 194 + shipping. I saw a black 1X2 on here sold for $135. Looking for something like that. Was hoping I could find a nice one for under 150 used..

I used to have a signature series Pechauer. I think I would opt for a used sneaky .. if they start at $300, can probably be had for a little less on the for sale forum??
