fiberpad

does an OB CLASSIC shaft have a fiberpad between the tip and the ferrule ?

Yes. When I sent my OB Classic to Seybert's to put on a Kamui SS, I noted that they should add a fiber pad if they thought it was necessary.

Their reply back was that it's necessary because OB won't guarantee the shaft if it doesn't have one.

Thanks for the remind. I only have a few left.

I have a couple of packages of fiber pads that don't get used. OBs are real carbon. I use these on any break cue that I get regardless of make.

Is there any difference between the ones you get from Seyberts and the ones that OB just put a link to?

Assuming OB has their own special pads, can we get them anywhere esle?

Unless Seyberts or any of the other Billiard Suppliers specifically say they are Carbon, they would be Fiber pads.

If you saw an OB Carbon pad alongside a regular Fiber pad, you would see the difference.

A fiber pad can be easily flexed, even snapped, the OB pad not so much.
