This one was just delivered. Mason's micarta ferrule, juma joint collar. The figure in the purpleheart is better than I could capture with my camera. It was an exceptional blank and came out great.

Looks great! What type of ferrules are those?

Thanks Dave. It is a modern version of micarta. The manufacture of it was arranged by a cuemaker named Mason Houghland, which is why it is often referred to as Mason's Micarta. It is a very durable ferrule that stays pretty clean and plays well.

Very nice conversion.

I like the ringwork that is being used in the cue.
Matches the whole cue very well.

Is the purpleheart in the ringwork taken from the blank?

Thanks.

It looks like it doesn't it? For rings like that, I usually do cut them off the blank. No, not for this one. They was just a good match.

Very nice match indeed.

Keep up the good work, Kelly.

Make more nice cues. :)
